Pain merely raised his hand and gave it a slight wave. A powerful repulsive force surged forth, sending the charging A, the Raikage, and his two guards flying.
"How could this be? What kind of power is this?"
Surrounded by crackling blue Chakra, the Raikage adjusted his posture in midair and landed steadily. He stared at Pain with a grave look in his eyes, while the other Kage, who had been watching from the sidelines, also wore solemn expressions.
Pain's appearance had indeed been quite shocking. A, the Raikage, was a veteran among Kage Level shinobi. With his powerful body, incredible speed, and superb taijutsu, he was an extremely troublesome opponent.
In terms of speed, the only person who had ever surpassed him was Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze. Yet even Minato Namikaze had not been confident he could kill A, the Raikage, outright. Back then, he had chosen Killer B as his breakthrough point and forced the opponent to retreat.

"Leader of the Akatsuki, you're interesting. But your ability must have a weakness. Otherwise, you wouldn't have been driven back by the people of Konoha!"
A, the Raikage, did not retreat because of the strength Pain had displayed. Instead, he loosened his muscles and prepared to attack again.
"Wait a moment. We didn't come here to fight!"
Ripple-like waves appeared beside Pain, and a phantom figure gradually solidified. A, who had been about to attack, stopped with a grave expression and became even more vigilant.
"Sharingan, and a space-time ninjutsu. You're a member of the Uchiha clan!"
A, the Raikage, took two steps back toward Ōnoki, his gaze shifting uncertainly
