A Young Girl's Thoughts

Mei Daizi walked up to the sofa, brought her hands together, and bowed to Gu Sheng, fully displaying the grace of a gentle Yamato Nadeshiko.

Ariel grumbled unhappily, "I wasn't saying that! This trans... guy only just woke up, yet he slept for so long like a pig. And he still expects him... Forget it!"

"Ariel! Don't say things like that!"

Mei Daizi turned around and unhappily pulled her daughter in front of Gu Sheng. "Apologize to Lord Sheng, now!"

"Apologize!"

Ariel reacted dramatically as if someone had stepped on her tail. However, under Mei Daizi's stern gaze, she still obediently turned around and bowed just like Mei Daizi. "I'm sorry, I apologize, Lord Sheng. Aili said something wrong."

"That's more like it. What an obedient child!"

Mei Daizi gently stroked the back of Ariel's head. Like a cat that had been properly trained, Ariel immediately became much gentler.

Mei Daizi bowed once more, then turned around and tied on an apron with Mariko's help. Mariko truly was an obedient and sensible child; she followed Mei Daizi into the kitchen as well.

The moment Mei Daizi left, Ariel's true attitude toward Gu Sheng emerged. She muttered her dissatisfaction under her breath, and when she noticed Gu Sheng turn to look at her, she even snorted and haughtily turned her head away.

Mei Daizi moved quickly. Before long, the fragrance of
