Perhaps because there were no Herrschers present, the Sea of Quantum's reaction was not particularly intense. Ai Yue faced only a handful of monsters, and under the fire of his dual-wielded Pikachus, they had no chance to resist. In barely a dozen seconds, they had all become corpses.
At the same time, the device Ai Yue had taken out earlier finished extracting energy from the Sea of Quantum and returned to its closed state. Once the device shut down, the monsters stopped appearing as well, and the uneventful encounter came to a quiet end.

In the original plot of the Honkai world, descriptions of the Sea of Quantum had always been quite vague. On top of that, Ai Yue himself was not very familiar with this part of the setting. Aside from knowing the general premise, he would have to explore everything else bit by bit.
Still, compared to Dr. Mei, Ai Yue understood a little more.
