Mu possesses Dust Release, a destructive technique capable of silently erasing targets and terrain.

Arena conflict

Disguised as a Snow Ninja, Mu fought Iwagakure jonin Sumashi. His Stealth Camouflage prevented chakra sensing and Byakugan detection, allowing him to evade Sumashi's Earth Release before eliminating him with Dust Release. Hiruzen deduced Mu's identity from the otherwise unmistakable combination of abilities. 450

Orochimaru's reanimated Kage

When Orochimaru attempted to provoke Shuji and disrupt the agreed trials, he summoned Mu and Hōzuki Gengetsu as reinforcements. Orochimaru's control over the revived Kage ended after Tobirama restored his own autonomy and released the others. 451

Land of Snow dispute

Mu's concealed involvement in the arena incident later became part of formal discussions between the Joint Affairs Bureau and the Land of Snow front line, with the dispute concerning the chaos caused by his actions and the lack of transparency surrounding them. 460
