Background / History

Tsunade is the granddaughter of Hashirama Senju and the grandniece of Tobirama Senju. She is identified as the last princess of the Senju and retains a connection to the clan despite its formal dissolution. 30 59

Her faith in Hashirama’s ideal of ending the chaotic era was shattered by personal losses: Tobirama’s death, the death of her younger brother Nawaki in an explosive-tag trap, and the death of her lover Dan Katō. 53
