Transfer Student

Under the bright morning sun, Vega hurried toward the Ninja Academy early.

On his first day of school, he didn't want to be late.

Before he even entered the school gate, Vega spotted Tomohisa Ishikawa standing at the entrance from a distance, so he walked over and greeted him, "Teacher Tomohisa, good morning!"

"Long time no see."

Seeing Vega, Tomohisa Ishikawa broke into a cheerful smile and said, "Vega, come with me. I'll take you to meet your new homeroom teacher."

Vega replied, "Yes."

Following behind Tomohisa Ishikawa, Vega asked him, "Teacher Tomohisa, you're not our homeroom teacher this semester anymore?"

Tomohisa Ishikawa turned back with a smile and answered, "Due to a work reassignment, I've received an appointment from Lord Hokage to take on a first-grade class."

"Your current class will be taught by another school teacher."

"By Lord Hokage's orders, your new class is Year 2, Class 1. I'm taking you to meet Teacher Kaoru now."

Vega pressed further, "Which first-grade class are you teaching, Teacher? If I have questions about training, can I still come find you?"

Tomohisa Ishikawa said, "Of course you can."

"This time, I'm teaching Year 1, Class 1. You're welcome to come find me anytime."

A warmer smile spread across Tomohisa Ishikawa's face as he said, "Vega, I'm actually very grateful to you!"

"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have had this opportunity."

Vega pretended not to understand and asked, "Teacher, why are you grateful to me?"

Shaking his head, Tomohisa Ishikawa didn't answer.

But Vega knew in his heart that the new class Tomohisa Ishikawa was now teaching was an elite class, not the civilian class he'd taught last year.

Following Tomohisa Ishikawa all the way into the teachers' office, Vega met his new homeroom teacher—Kaoru Iwabe.

"Teacher Kaoru, this is Vega. From now on, this child is in your care."

"Hello, Teacher Kaoru. I'm Vega Koshima. Pleased to meet you."

Kaoru Iwabe smiled back and replied, "Thank you for the trouble, Teacher Tomohisa."

"If you run into any difficulties with your new class, we can exchange ideas more often."

Then, Kaoru Iwabe said to Vega, "I'm Kaoru Iwabe. Pleased to meet you from now on, Vega!"

After chatting briefly with Kaoru Iwabe about work matters, Tomohisa Ishikawa left Vega there and turned to go.

After talking in detail with Vega for a while longer, when the bell for class rang, Kaoru Iwabe led Vega toward the classroom.

From a distance, Kaoru Iwabe and Vega could hear the noise inside the classroom. She first had Vega wait outside the door, then stepped into the classroom herself.

"You lot, get back to your seats right now!"

Kaoru Iwabe shouted loudly at the few students still messing around.

Among them was the class's Dead Last, a member of Konoha's prestigious Uchiha clan—Obito Uchiha.

Startled by Kaoru Iwabe's sudden appearance, Obito Uchiha quickly scurried back to his seat, and the class fell silent.

Standing at the podium, Kaoru Iwabe called out Obito Uchiha by name, "Obito, are you trying to drive your teacher crazy?"

"Can't you behave even on the first day of school?"

Watching Obito Uchiha get singled out, most of the class snickered, while Obito's face flushed a deep shade of purple.

"Alright, today I'm introducing a new classmate to you all."

With that, Kaoru Iwabe turned to Vega outside the door and said, "Come in!"

Vega calmly walked up to the podium and composedly looked over his new classmates.

Kaoru Iwabe said to Vega, "Vega, introduce yourself so everyone in class can get to know you."

Nodding, Vega said, "Hello everyone, I'm Vega Koshima. I hope to become a ninja who can protect the peace of the village someday."

"From now on, please take care of me."

"Clap, clap, clap..."

As soon as he finished, Kaoru Iwabe led the applause, then pointed to an empty seat in the class and said, "Vega, sit there."

"Thank you, Teacher!"

With a reply, Vega quickly took his seat.

"Now, let me introduce Vega to everyone again."

"I'm Shizune Kato. Pleased to meet you."

Veigar quickly replied, "Pleased to meet you too. Just call me Veigar."

Before Shizune Kato could respond, Might Guy walked over and interrupted her.

"Veigar, I'm Might Guy. Pleased to meet you."

Might Guy flashed a very bright smile as he spoke to Veigar.

Veigar replied with great politeness, "Guy, hello! Pleased to meet you."

Shizune Kato, annoyed at being cut off by Might Guy, said to him, "Guy, why don't you go back to your seat? The teacher will be back soon."

However, Might Guy paid no attention to what Shizune Kato said and continued speaking to Veigar. "Veigar, let's have a match!"

"I'll prove to everyone that even if I only know taijutsu, I can still defeat geniuses like you."

Seeing the blazing fighting spirit in Might Guy's eyes, Veigar smiled awkwardly and refused, "We're classmates. There's no need for a match."
