Having just come out of the bathroom, Veigar had shed that last bit of fatigue and returned straight to his room without resting.

There were still some broken rubber balls in the room that he had not yet cleared out. They were piled in the corner.

The rubber balls in the corner had been bought with the money Veigar had earned from carrying out Ninja Missions over the past month. In order to successfully master the Rasengan, Veigar had spent quite a lot during this period.

However, it had all been worth it.

The Rasengan had four stages of training. The first was gathering Chakra in the palm of one's hand.

The second was using a water-filled balloon to practice steadily releasing Chakra.

Veigar had completed both of these stages half a month ago.

As for the third stage of Rasengan training—using a rubber ball to maintain the released Chakra and materialize it—Veigar had also completed it a few days ago.

What Veigar was preparing to do now was to combine everything from the first three stages and completely finish his Rasengan training.

This was also the final stage: gathering and releasing Chakra.

Veigar planted his feet in a horse stance and extended his right hand. A dark-blue ball of Chakra appeared in his palm.

This was the result of Veigar's third stage of Rasengan training.

In fact, the Chakra ball in Veigar's hand was already capable of damaging objects. It could only inflict relatively light surface damage, however.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye during Veigar's training.

Eating, resting, and training—this was Veigar's daily routine over the past two days. He had wasted not even a second, grasping every moment to train the Rasengan.

At this moment, Veigar stared at the dark-blue Chakra ball in his hand. His exhausted eyes were filled with excitement that he could not suppress.

Veigar had completed the A-rank Seal-less Ninjutsu that Minato Namikaze had taken three years to develop in just over a month.

"I finally did it."

Veigar murmured to himself.

His tightly wound nerves relaxed at once, and his fatigue erupted all at once. He collapsed onto the floor and fell asleep, not wanting to move at all.

The next day, Veigar awoke from his deep sleep. When he checked the time, he saw that it was already the gathering time set by Minato Namikaze.

This was the first time Veigar had been late in all this time.

He had no time to groom himself properly. After hurriedly tidying up, Veigar rushed toward the meeting place.

Minato Namikaze arrived at the meeting place right on time. Seeing that only Kakashi Hatake had arrived early and that Veigar was nowhere to be seen, he smiled and asked Kakashi Hatake,

"Good morning, Kakashi!"

"Has Veigar not arrived yet? Why haven't I seen him?"

Kakashi Hatake nodded and replied, "Good morning, Teacher Minato!"

"Mm. He probably hasn't arrived yet. I haven't seen Veigar either."

Minato Namikaze thought for a moment before saying, "All right, let's wait a little longer!"

"Knowing Veigar, something must have delayed him."

Kakashi Hatake nodded. "Mm."

After spending so much time together, Minato Namikaze and Kakashi Hatake both knew that Veigar was extremely punctual. Since he had not arrived yet, they assumed something had delayed him rather than thinking he had been late on purpose.

Before long, Minato Namikaze brought Veigar and Kakashi Hatake to the Hokage's Office, where they met Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Third Lord, the jōnin Minato Namikaze has brought Minato Squad members Veigar Koshima and Kakashi Hatake to report."

Standing one step ahead of Veigar and Kakashi Hatake, Minato Namikaze faced Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was seated opposite him.

Veigar and Kakashi Hatake also greeted him respectfully at the same time. "Third Lord."

Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded. "Since everyone is here, I'll have the mission client come in."

Minato Namikaze replied, "Yes."

Hiruzen Sarutobi then turned toward the office door and called out, "You may come in now, Mr. Jōji."

Takeuchi Joji, who had been waiting outside for quite some time, hurriedly pushed the door open and entered, standing beside Minato Namikaze.

At the same time, Veigar and Kakashi Hatake discreetly sized up Takeuchi Joji.

Once Takeuchi Joji was standing properly, Hiruzen Sarutobi introduced him to Minato Namikaze. "Minato, this is the client for this mission, Mr. Jōji from Yamagō Village. I'll be counting on you for the mission ahead."

Hiruzen Sarutobi then introduced Minato Namikaze and the others to Takeuchi Joji. "Mr. Jōji, this is the jōnin Minato Namikaze and the two members under his command. They will be carrying out the mission you commissioned."

Minato Namikaze and Takeuchi Joji looked at each other and exchanged greetings.

"Mr. Jōji, I look forward to working with you."

"Jōnin Minato, I'll be counting on you. Please help our village through this crisis."

Minato Namikaze immediately replied solemnly, "Mr. Jōji, rest assured. We Konoha Ninjas will definitely complete the client's mission."

Takeuchi Joji's worried heart settled somewhat. "Then I'll be counting on you."

At this moment, Takeuchi Joji already regarded Minato Namikaze as his lifeline, while he had overlooked Veigar and Kakashi Hatake behind Minato Namikaze.

After all, Veigar and Kakashi Hatake's ages were highly deceptive, and Takeuchi Joji had assumed they were merely there to fill out the numbers.

To complete the mission, they still had to rely on Minato Namikaze, the Konoha jōnin.
