Lu Xin uncovered his connection to Lu Tianming and the Genesis Hard Drive, then rejected the First-Generation Researchers’ demand for the Sole Consciousness. As Mom and Dean Xue Jia turned against the researchers, they began collapsing the Abyss to undermine the First-Generation Researchers’ control.

• Dr. An led Lu Xin and the team through the abandoned Research Institute, where Lu Xin found a card identifying him as Lu Tianming and recovered memories of his confinement and experiments.
• Lu Xin relived Lu Tianming’s history and saw the Genesis Hard Drive, while Dr. An recognized that he had received the Sole Consciousness.
• As the Institute’s protective taboo faded, strange entities attacked, and Lu Xin fought his way through them while Dr. An and the others tried to escape with him.
• The Chief Researcher revealed that Lu Xin carried the rage of a god created by the researchers’ experiment, and the First-Generation Researchers demanded the Sole Consciousness.
• Lu Xin refused to hand over the Sole Consciousness to either research group and fled with Sister, but Mom separated Sister from him and revealed that she had been assigned to monitor him.
• Black Bishop and the Abyssal Worm attacked Lu Xin’s allies, while the Negative Zero Unit and Xue Jia joined the battle and fought the creatures and Lu Xin’s clones.
• Mom broke her connection to the Spirit Hall, embraced Lu Xin, and used her eyes to reveal the Abyss’s secrets as Xue Jia recorded them and sent them to the Eclipse Research Institute.
• Dean Xue Jia and Dr. An activated a plan to strengthen The Beginning and collapse weak points in the Abyss, prompting the Chief Researcher to use the Genesis Hard Drive to repair the breach.

Lu Xin survived the Trial of Heart, accepted the Sole Consciousness without surrendering his humanity, and returned to Qinggang as the first-generation researchers remained a threat. After learning Mom had warned him to stop Wang Jingyun and deciding to find his former orphanage companions, he left Qinggang and traveled toward Soda City, where he set out to meet Number Three.

• Mom used her remaining power to help Lu Xin understand the Sole Consciousness, then faded away after asking him to forgive her for acting without his consent.
• Lu Xin resisted The Beginning’s attempt to turn him into a secondary Pollution Source, then restored the palace and Sisi while declaring he would stop the Black Bishop and the researchers.
• Lu Xin returned to Qinggang, demonstrated his altered abilities to Professor Bai, and asked the researchers to study the Sole Consciousness so he could understand how to defeat an Ultimate.
• A safe Mom had left for Lu Xin brought Sister, Little Nineteen, and Number Fourteen back into his life, and Number Fourteen delivered Mom’s warning to stop Wang Jingyun before the Trial of God.
• Lu Xin resolved to find his former orphanage companions, then chose to leave Qinggang after learning the Spades Office had placed a bounty on him.
• Lu Xin traveled toward Soda City with Sister, Number Fourteen, and Little Nineteen, repelled attacks from multiple groups, and restrained his growing destructive impulses.
• Lu Xin spared a senior assassin and proposed a business deal, then reached Soda City and waited outside the Administrative Hall to meet Number Three.

Lu Xin reunited with his orphanage companions, uncovered the Old Director’s plans, and survived an attempt to erase him. As the Third Descent spread catastrophic pollution across the world, Qinggang chose to act, and Lu Xin agreed to lead its strongest cleanup team.

• Lu Xin sought Number Three’s help against the Old Director, and Number Three agreed to meet him after Lu Xin recognized his love for his family.
• Number Five warned Lu Xin about the Spades Office and the Old Director’s plans, then assassins attacked Lu Xin and Sister and Little Nineteen killed them.
• Lu Xin followed abducted children to an S-Rank restricted zone, where the Spades Office used The Beginning’s power to drag him toward the Abyss.
• Number Five, Number Three, Number Fourteen, and Number Eight freed Lu Xin, and Number Fourteen revealed that the orphanage children could resist The Beginning’s power.
• Lu Xin returned to Qinggang with his companions, where Chen Jing confronted Mr. Song over his role in the assassination plot and Professor Bai revealed Lin Mo’s research into The Beginning.
• Lu Xin faced The Beginning beneath the Crimson Moon and held on to his sense of self, while the Old Director declared that the Trial of God had begun.
• Professor Xue Jia announced that the Third Descent had begun after the Mother of Punishment was killed, and Qinggang received a world-ending cleanup mission.
• Qinggang voted to accept the plan, and Lu Xin agreed to help Professor Bai form a knight order around Kid and assemble the strongest Special Pollution Cleanup team.

Lu Xin formed the Tyrant Squad, confronted the Ultimates and Gaoshan Laboratory, then reunited with the orphanage survivors and faced the Old Director’s plan to sacrifice the world. After Sister took his place as a Witness, Lu Xin chose to enter the Crimson Moon and become The Beginning to stop the sacrifice.

• Lu Xin formed the Tyrant Squad, recruited Gecko and other allies, and led the squad in clearing dangerous Pollution Sources across the wilderness.
• Professor Bai’s promotion of Kid drew the Ultimates’ attack on Qinggang, but Father returned as the Night King and Kid claimed God’s Scepter to protect the city.
• Lu Xin traveled west, defeated the Black Queen, and learned how Gaoshan Laboratory had created the Ultimates and planned to control The Beginning.
• Lu Xin revived the Black Bishop and the chief researcher, then returned to Qinggang before setting out with his orphanage classmates to meet the Old Director.
• The Old Director welcomed the survivors and revealed his plan to sacrifice the post-Crimson Moon world so he could restore the earlier civilization.
• The Old Director killed Sister, and Lu Xin’s despair helped release The Beginning as the exchange ritual began, and Sister later returned and took Lu Xin’s place as a Witness.
• Lu Xin destroyed the Genesis Hard Drive, but the sacrifice continued, and he told the Old Director he would stop it by becoming The Beginning and refusing the sacrifice.
• Lu Xin walked alone into the Crimson Moon as Sister cried out for him.
