The Empire's great nobles widely voiced their questions about what lay behind the turmoil in the Imperial Capital, and a flood of messages began to bear down on Ryan.
Nobles liked having secrets of their own, but disliked others keeping secrets from them.
They were all Imperial Nobles. Whatever was going on, why not lay it out in the open?
Ryan was also weighing whether to throw out some bait for the southern nobles to bite.
What was there in Nostria that would interest the Imperial Nobles?
Ordinary people? Impossible. The Empire already had more people than it needed. Nor could it be the nobles there; only nobles who wielded power deserved attention.
Rune Jinn? Holy Knights? The Empire had no shortage of magical creatures; even the Highland Mage Corps could manufacture them. As for Holy Knights, the Empire had plenty of knights willing to fight to the death for nobles. No world could rival the Norris Continent in the flourishing diversity of its supernatural paths.
Above those, then, were the great beings.
The Abyss was great, but anyone was willing to become involved with it. The Imperial Nobles would certainly be interested in the Dark Giant hidden deep in the Otherworld, but Ryan was unwilling to share.
That would mean allowing the nobles' armies to establish a large-scale presence in the Otherworld.
That left only the Blazing Sun.
Ryan began preparing an explanation for the Empire.
"Esteemed Majesty Emperor Flor, not long ago, a terrifying battle erupted over the East Sea. The wrath of deities poured down, and flames burned across that legendary sea of mists. Even Lady Moon, who governs fate, acted for the first time in a hundred years."
