The arrival of a Church of Light priest had cast a solemn air over all of Quilan Village. Even the farmers walking through The Wilds found themselves scrutinizing whether every step they took showed loyalty to the great existence.
It was the unease of a newcomer in a foreign land, as well as a mortal's fear of the extraordinary.
Within Quilan's stone fortress, the priest was invited inside. The Lordship asked with slight wariness and reverence, "May I ask what kind of devout faith you intend to assess, Father?"
Though he had not taken it too seriously back in Frozen Earth Territory, Quilan had still learned about the relationship between the Blazing Sun and The Sun.
They shared the same origin—or rather, the Blazing Sun was a part of The Sun.
Marquis Ryan had said so.
That was why Quilan felt such reverence now. He was still far too unfamiliar with this world.
"Lordship, would you please place your palm upon this Disk of Light?"
In the priest's hands was a spotless white disk. If no one told him otherwise, he would have taken it for a dinner plate.
Quilan cautiously placed his palm upon it. The Disk of Light was colder than he had imagined, but before long, a scorching power flowed out. Quilan vaguely found it familiar, like... the terror brought by the burning heavenly fire of Nostria's Blazing Sun.
Quilan instinctively tried to pull his hand back, but the Disk of Light seemed to possess a magnetic pull, holding his palm fast so that he could not move at all. He began to struggle, and the Disk of Light changed color in the process, radiating sacred and brilliant golden light.
Smack!
The Disk of Light was flung away and returned to its spotless white color.
"Lordship, you
