The weapons scattered haphazardly across the ground were not made of wood or metal, but of ice that radiated cold. Their tips were sharp, though their overall shape resembled clubs. In truth, they were also capable of delivering vicious thrusts.
This was Mikaela's first time seeing ice capable of withstanding metal weapons head-on. In fact, it was even harder than the swords used by knights—the surfaces of these clubs bore only scratches, while some of the knights' swords had chipped during the battle the night before.

When Mikaela reached out and touched the weapon before him, his vital energy inexplicably slowed. He was a Sky Knight, his vigorous blood and energy enough to melt the snow around him, yet it was suppressed by this chill.
He took two steps back, bent his knees slightly, and gripped his sword with both hands. The next instant, he swung horizontally at the club.
A shrill clang exploded through the air. The icy club was knocked flying, yet remained intact. Mikaela looked at his own Knight's Greatsword and saw a fine crack at the point of impact.
Standing before another club, Mikaela used a Knight Combat Technique this time. His vital energy flowed into the Knight's Greatsword, and a flash of crimson light passed by. A bowl-sized notch finally appeared in the icy club, but it still was not severed. Shattered ice fragments sprayed in all directions. "So hard."
"Send these weapons and the corpses back to the Northlands Great Wall Fortress."
