The ancient Elves had records of this kind of ice. Ryan considered it; his relationship with The Forest was certainly far from good.
The Forest was filled with Elven Rangers who wanted to kill him. Under such circumstances, it was exceedingly difficult for humans to enter.
"If disaster truly comes, will your [The Woodlands] remain unharmed?!"
Ryan's envoy had been sent into The Forest and shouted those words within the tree palace of the Elven Royal Court.
The surrounding Elven Rangers glared angrily. The elderly priests lowered their eyes. The elegant Elven Queen calmly watched the envoy. Felix, leader of the radicals and the Elves' war commander, rubbed his longsword with a feather.
No Elf offered the humans a friendly expression.
"My great lord, Baron Ryan Clayton, has already discovered traces of their existence not far into the Northlands. They come from the end of ice and snow, touching the edge of life. They are a forbidden zone of life, and now that forbidden zone is expanding southward."
"The Forest will be destroyed. When the wind of True Ice arrives, even the tallest trees will freeze into blocks of ice. [The Woodlands] will vanish from the history—and future—of Norris Continent."
"You will not be their friends, because even among themselves, they are filled with slaughter, death, and mutual devouring. Elves are elegant, but Elven flesh is a delicacy to them."
"You may certainly choose to stand by and watch. Even without the knowledge provided by the Elves, great Lord Ryan can resist
the disaster of the Snow Demons."

The human envoy was a Bard. The Elves easily imagined the stories and scenes he described. Some were grave, some disdainful, and then a cold laugh rang out.
Felix stepped forward. Whatever his true temperament might have been, he had gained
