What irreconcilable conflict lay between them?

Even now, he had not figured out what Meyers was trying to do in this land.
Ryan did not want to remain passive forever.
So he went to Thundercloud Mountain, to the castle of the Marquis of Northwind.

She had actually reached the Saint Realm.
Shaya found Ryan equally strange and asked in a sarcastic tone:
"Did your proposal fail, so now you're planning to take her by force? If the Mayers Family hadn't sent someone, I wouldn't have known that the Baron of the Northlands now held enough authority to silence every noble."
"Meyers?"
Ryan shook his head and said:
"They really do care about me."
"Still, I also want to know what Meyers intends to do. There's no hatred between me and them, so the issue must lie with Northwind Province."
"They're obsessed with this land."
"I said long ago that this land belongs to us. No one can take it away. It nurtures our glory."
Ryan looked into Shaya's eyes, his Saint Realm pressure surging toward her.
"Do you know what they're planning?"
Shaya took several steps back and kept shaking her head.
"I don't know."
Seeing Shaya's expression, Ryan knew the situation was more serious than he had imagined.
"Meyers won't stop pursuing me. There's probably no room for reconciliation between us."
Shaya agreed with that. She looked at the Baron of the Northlands.
"If you're willing to give up Northwind Province, this can end."
"Then it seems war is inevitable."
