Grand Duke Mayers Manor.

This manor lay southwest of the center of the Florian Empire, at the edge of Meyers Province. Its name described who held absolute power over this land.

Not even the Emperor of the Empire would interfere here.

This province had always been solemn, with neither foreign enemies nor internal strife.

Interestingly, part of Meyers Manor lay within another province. This was not because Grand Duke Mayers was greedy, but because the Grand Duke's "manor" was simply too large.

Large enough to easily fit an army of over ten thousand men inside without being discovered.

At Meyers Castle, Grand Duke Mayers stood on the balcony and looked down at the ten thousand soldiers below. They wore uniform armor and carried identical weapons, while proud violet banners rippled in the breeze.

"His Majesty the Emperor will never allow us to do such a thing."

"Columbus?"

Chrysus's only flaw was that he was too bound by rules. Grand Duke Mayers did not much like that.

"Thirty years ago, I personally conquered Northwind Province, and he acted as though it did not matter. He was the one who did not want Northwind Province. To the vast Empire, that land was far too superfluous."

"He will be furious because he fears that the title of Emperor of the Empire will be tainted by it. But by then, we will already have succeeded."

"I will not give him the time or opportunity to stop me. This is for Meyers."

"Our bloodline was born noble, endowed with extraordinary power. This is the benefit of blasphemy, and before I die, I must cast off the price of that blasphemy."
