Of the four seasons, only the time of snowfall was called true winter. Yet this year, even the Corland Kingdom, where it had never snowed before, was blanketed in silver.
"Great one, that Eternal Gaze has brought a different change."
The Northlands burned. Countless layers of snow were scorched away by radiant light, returning to the sky, only to fall once more, heavier than ever before.
This posed a great challenge for the Corland Kingdom. They had never experienced such severe snowfall, to the point that supplies meant to reach the Andara Kingdom three days ago were still stranded halfway there today.
Hot sweat beaded on Tyke Butler's forehead. He came from the Butler Viscount Family and held a fairly distinguished status, a lord of some standing. He had thought this would be an easy, profitable assignment, but today, he began to panic.
"Damn this snow."
Vehicles in the Corland Kingdom had never been designed with snowfall in mind. The oxen and horses had lost their usual speed, and now some had even frozen and collapsed along the road.
"It's all because of this damned snow. Otherwise, we would have arrived long ago."
Tyke gritted his teeth as he explained himself to a bard and five knights standing opposite him.
"If it truly was because of the snow, Mr. Tyke, then your circumstances would be understandable, and we would not have come here. You only needed to deliver these supplies to Andara. But was that really the case?"
The bard Shane rested his right hand over his left at his abdomen and calmly watched Tyke.
"This shipment contains six thousand pieces of linen clothing, twenty thousand jin of grain, leather waterskins, and more than three thousand extraordinary Mandrake Flower petals..."
"Mr. Tyke, you should have set out for the Andara
