The Empire's Nobles Are Weary of War

In Roland's letter to Ryan, he mentioned only one matter: the Empire's future emperor.

Columbus III's death was, in truth, a good thing for the Sera Kingdom. Roland did not state this outright.

But he did mention that Columbus III had placed immense pressure on the Sera Kingdom. The kingdom had only managed to gain a foothold because of Dawn, yet with the Empire looming beside them, they could barely breathe. Now that Columbus III was dead, Roland felt as though the skies above the kingdom had cleared.

Considering Columbus III's influence, Roland worried about how the Empire's future emperor would treat the Sera Kingdom after inheriting that terrifying power.

So they wanted to place their bets early?

As Ryan read the letter, he felt Roland's worries were perfectly understandable. In this world, there was no avoiding the two colossal powers known as the Empire and The Church.
