"Brrr—"
Wu Shiyin led Yang Xiao through the alleyways, quickly leaving the alley district and entering a bustling street. After about seven or eight minutes, Wu Shiyin stopped the bike and pointed at a night market stall not far away. "Go grab us a spot, or we'll lose it."
"Got it." Yang Xiao hopped off the bike and jogged toward the stall, while Wu Shiyin went to park.
"Boss, give me an empty table." When Yang Xiao reached the night market stall, he saw it was packed—only one or two tables left, just like Wu Shiyin said. Any later and there'd be no seats at all.
"How many?" A waitress walked over and asked politely.
"Should be two," Yang Xiao said.
"Alright, this way please." The waitress led Yang Xiao to an empty table that could seat four.
"Thanks." Yang Xiao thanked her and sat down. Wu Shiyin had already parked and was walking over. His silver hair immediately caught a lot of attention, and his looks weren't bad either—actually, he was kind of handsome. He just never bothered to dress up, which made him look scruffy.
"Nice, still a spot left." Wu Shiyin sat across from Yang Xiao and grinned. "What do you want to eat?"
Yang Xiao had no idea what this place specialized in, so he said casually, "You order. I don't know what they serve here."
Wu Shiyin thought about it and figured that made sense. He called the waitress over for a menu and started ordering on his own. Honestly, he wasn't a stingy guy—it was just that before, he had no money because business was dead. Now it was different; the money in his account grew every day, and that was all thanks to Yang Xiao.
So today, spending a bit extra didn't matter. How much could food cost anyway?
After ordering, Wu Shiyin sent the boss off to cook. Then something came to mind, and he smiled at Yang Xiao. "I just thought of a student of mine. She's not exactly rolling in cash either. How about I call her over to eat with us?"
"Sure, go ahead." It wasn't Yang Xiao's money, so he didn't care. He had no idea the "her" Wu Shiyin mentioned was a girl.
"OK, I'll contact her now." Wu Shiyin chuckled, pulled out his phone, and dialed a number. After a brief chat, he hung up.
"She said she'll be here soon. Want something to drink? Beer? Or sake?" Wu Shiyin rubbed his hands together. Eating late-night snacks was better with more people—what fun was it with just two guys?
Still, someone his age and someone Yang Xiao's age didn't naturally click, but they had common ground. He could've called over people his own age, but he didn't see the point.
When he was down and out, no one helped him. Now that he was making money, why should he call them to eat?
Of course, close friends were a different story. Not today, though.
"Beer. I'm not used to sake." Yang Xiao had barely drunk sake before. The memory came from his old world—he'd tried some, but he still preferred beer, especially in this mild weather. Beer was perfect.
"Alright, waitress, six bottles of beer!" Wu Shiyin shouted. In this noisy place, you had to yell for the waitress to hear—there were too many customers around.
"Six bottles? I can't drink three," Yang Xiao quickly waved his hand. He wouldn't get drunk off three beers, but drinking too much wasn't good.
"Don't worry, someone else is coming. Two each, just right." Wu Shiyin ignored Yang Xiao and told the waitress to bring the drinks.
When the beer arrived, Yang Xiao poured a glass for Wu Shiyin and one for himself. They raised their glasses and said, "Cheers!"
"Gin-san, that's not cool—drinking before I even get here?"
A female voice rang out. Yang Xiao was mid-sip, and when he turned to see who it was, he spat the beer out, nearly hitting the girl.
"What the hell?" The girl yelped, startled by Yang Xiao's reaction. If you're drinking, just drink—why spit it out?
Yang Xiao had no choice. If the newcomer hadn't been someone he recognized, he wouldn't have reacted like that. But the thing was, he did recognize her—and he knew her well.
Toga Himiko!
A character from the League of Villains, showing up here today, and she knew Wu Shiyin. That was interesting—two people who had nothing in common.
Toga Himiko was a villain from My Hero Academia, but fans loved her. She appeared as a cute, innocent girl, but her other side was a bloodthirsty loli with a twisted mind and a huge contrast. That contrast made her popular.
This character was vivid in Yang Xiao's mind too. He never expected to meet her like this.
"Sorry, my bad." Yang Xiao stood up and apologized. It was his fault.
"Gin-san, is this your guy?" Toga Himiko turned to Wu Shiyin.
Wu Shiyin laughed and stood up, looking at Yang Xiao. "Getting that worked up over a pretty girl?"
Then he turned to Toga Himiko. "He works at my shop. We're all friends, don't mind him."
Hearing he was from Wu Shiyin's shop, Toga Himiko's expression softened. She walked around to the other side and sat down, slapping the table. "Food ordered?"
"Yeah," Wu Shiyin and Yang Xiao sat back down.
"Did you order what I like?" Toga Himiko asked again.
Wu Shiyin shook his head. "I don't like that stuff you eat—too fishy."
"Oh, then I'll order myself." She got up and headed for the waitress. As she passed a few tables, the young men there couldn't help but stare—her figure and face were perfect.
Yang Xiao was secretly amazed too. Toga Himiko's proportions were spot-on. Today she wore a pure-looking outfit: a long-sleeve top with engraved patterns and a skirt that didn't even reach her knees, showing off her pale legs.
"Don't stare at her. Let me tell you, she's not someone you can mess with. Better behave. That little Toga's got a weird personality and temper—I can't even figure her out completely." Wu Shiyin warned Yang Xiao, telling him not to get any funny ideas.
Yang Xiao didn't need the warning. He knew Toga Himiko's background well enough and knew how to handle it. He just had to act normal.
Seeing Yang Xiao nod, Wu Shiyin dropped it. Today was a happy day—time to eat well.
Toga Himiko ordered her food and came back. She glanced at Yang Xiao, looked him up and down, then turned to Wu Shiyin. "If I'm not wrong, your Problem Solver is back in business?"
"You got it, you got it." Wu Shiyin laughed heartily, clearly pleased by the question. "If you want to make some cash, come on over. You've got plenty of time anyway."
"And you know I've got plenty of time?" Toga Himiko said with a fake smile. "What if I'm busy?"
"Busy?" Wu Shiyin shrugged. "Then forget it. If you don't take a good chance to make money, I'll just have to give more perks to little Yang here."
