"Xiao Yang?" Toga Himiko glanced sideways at Yang Xiao before saying, "Is he the only one working at your shop right now?"
"Yeah. Otherwise, why do you think I came looking for you? I'm giving you a chance to make money." Wu Shiyin said arrogantly. "Once more people get hired, there won't be a spot for you anymore. Think it over."
"Okaaay~ You were actually nice enough to think of me first?" Toga Himiko smiled. "Then I should thank you, Boss Wu."
"Hey~ Don't be so formal. If you want the job, you can start tomorrow. Though you seem to have school, so you can come after class. Dinner's included, and you only need to work three hours part-time. On weekends, you can work a full day and fill in for Xiao Yang." Wu Shiyin spoke casually.
"I'll see. Depends on whether I have time..." Toga Himiko neither refused nor agreed, only saying that it depended on her schedule.
"You think I don't know whether you have time?" Wu Shiyin chuckled. "You've got nothing to do every day. You're practically turning into a fujoshi."
Toga Himiko rolled her eyes at Wu Shiyin. "You're the fujoshi!"
"Alright, alright, enough of that. The food's here." Wu Shiyin smiled as the server brought over the dishes. Yang Xiao took one look and realized it was barbecue.
He had noticed long ago that barbecue was this place's main specialty. Several tables nearby were eating it, though the restaurant offered other foods as well, including noodles and sushi.
"Xiao Yang, eat up. Don't hold back. Have as much as you want today." Wu Shiyin laughed heartily, raised his cup, and clinked it with Yang Xiao's again.
This time, Yang Xiao did not spit it out. It would not have been funny if he did that again.
Toga Himiko looked at Yang Xiao, then turned to Wu Shiyin. "Can I eat whatever I want too?"
Wu Shiyin shook his head. "I'm mainly treating Xiao Yang today. You're just tagging along. If you decide to work here, though, I can let you eat more."
"Gin-san, are you serious?" Toga Himiko's expression turned serious as she stared straight into Wu Shiyin's eyes.
Wu Shiyin felt uncomfortable under her gaze and immediately said, "Of course I'm serious. My shop is short-handed to begin with. It definitely won't work with Xiao Yang doing everything alone."
"Fine, I'll start working tomorrow!" After saying that, Toga Himiko turned and called out to the server, "Add another serving of what I ordered earlier!"
"Got it!" the server replied.
"Pfft!" Yang Xiao spat again. Toga Himiko was actually going to work at Problem Solver, as his coworker?
How did that sound so absurd? She was a bloodthirsty loli. Being around her every day was dangerous, okay? Who knew when she might collect his blood?
"You..." Toga Himiko tilted her head toward Yang Xiao. "Do you have some problem with me? It's better to make things clear now if you have something to say."
"I don't have any problem, and there's nothing I want to say. It's just... please take care of me in the future!" Yang Xiao stood up and apologized. This had really caught him off guard.
"Gin-san, you haven't introduced us yet." Toga Himiko accepted Yang Xiao's apology, and her expression improved.
Only then did Wu Shiyin remember that he had not made introductions. He immediately pointed at Yang Xiao and said, "This is Yang Xiao, the top general of my Problem Solver. I think he's a student too, just like you."
"As for this little beauty, her name is Toga Himiko. She's also a student, same as you. I can't say anything else about her." Wu Shiyin smiled at Yang Xiao while happily picking up a skewer of meat and eating it.
Yang Xiao nodded, but he had no urge to offer Toga Himiko a handshake. He did not want to seem overly eager, nor did he want to attract too much of her attention.
Most importantly, he had already caught Toga Himiko's attention twice. If this continued, something would definitely happen.
Toga Himiko was not interested in Yang Xiao, either. Ordinary people could not hold her interest. A casual glance was enough to tell that Yang Xiao was very ordinary. He was fairly good-looking, but that was useless.
After the three of them had eaten for a while, Toga Himiko's food arrived. When Yang Xiao saw the bloody organs on the plate, he almost felt like throwing up. Her tastes were seriously extreme.
Although the organs had been grilled, they were at most forty percent cooked. That might suit the eating habits of some people overseas, but it was rather hard to accept in Asia.
Wu Shiyin's mouth twitched too, though he was used to it. It was not Toga Himiko's first time eating that stuff. He looked at Yang Xiao, whose expression was equally unpleasant, and said, "Don't mind her. Her personal tastes are different from ours."
"I understand. I understand." Yang Xiao gave a stiff smile. How could such a cute girl be like this? Her mouth was covered in blood as she ate, making her look a little creepy.
The customers who had thought Toga Himiko was cute were all dumbfounded. They had naturally seen her eating those foods, and many of them began to feel nauseated.
Their interest immediately vanished, though some people still thought she had personality and was different from everyone else.
Yeah, she certainly was different. Yang Xiao said nothing, simply eating his skewers and drinking with Wu Shiyin.
The three of them did not finish until after ten. Wu Shiyin had planned to see Toga Himiko home, but she refused. Even Yang Xiao did not need him to escort him.
Wu Shiyin could only return to Problem Solver by himself. Yang Xiao wandered home at a leisurely pace, took a hot shower, then lay on the sofa watching television, though his mind was elsewhere.
Toga Himiko was actually joining Problem Solver. She would become a member of the League of Villains in the future. The people she interacted with now were probably already on the darker side. What was he supposed to do about that?
Yang Xiao truly did not know when Toga Himiko had begun walking down the dark path. Maybe she had already started, but he could not stop her directly. Perhaps he could use their status as coworkers as an excuse and see whether he could pull her back.
At the very least, she could not join the League of Villains. That would only cause him trouble. He was going to enter U.A. High School in the future, and sooner or later he would come into conflict with the League of Villains. He did not want to fight Toga Himiko after she had become his coworker.
"Sleep first. I'll deal with it tomorrow." Yang Xiao stretched and climbed into bed.
The next day, when Yang Xiao arrived at Problem Solver, he found that its rolling shutter door was already open. It was only seven fifty, not even eight yet.
Normally, Wu Shiyin would not open until at least eight. Sometimes it was perfectly normal for him to be ten or twenty minutes late.
"Hey, you got here later than me?" Toga Himiko sat on Problem Solver's sofa, looking sideways at Yang Xiao outside the door. Meanwhile, Wu Shiyin held his head with a sleep-deprived expression. Toga Himiko had arrived far too early. She had woken him up at seven thirty and would not let him go back to sleep.
Yang Xiao smiled. Wu Shiyin had really been set up by him this time. He would probably never get the chance to sleep in again.
"Don't you have school?" Yang Xiao asked Toga Himiko after walking into Problem Solver.
"School?" Toga Himiko sneered. "I go if I feel like it, and I don't if I don't. What's the big deal? Besides... shouldn't you be in school too?"
