Toga Himiko's Extreme Tastes

"Xiao Yang?" Toga Himiko glanced sideways at Yang Xiao before speaking. "Is he the only one in your shop right now?"

"Yeah, otherwise why do you think I'd call you? I'm giving you a chance to make money." Wu Shiyin said haughtily. "Once I hire more people, there won't be a spot for you. Think it over yourself."

"Oh~ You're so nice, thinking of me first?" Toga Himiko chuckled. "Then I guess I have to thank you, Boss Wu."

"Hey~ Don't be so distant. If you want to work, you can start tomorrow. But you've got school, right? Come after class, I'll cover dinner. Just work three hours part-time. On weekends, work a full day to fill in for Xiao Yang." Wu Shiyin said casually.

"We'll see. I'll check if I have time..." Toga Himiko neither refused nor agreed, just said she'd see.

"As if I don't know if you have time?" Wu Shiyin chuckled lightly. "You're free all day, practically turning into a fujoshi."

Toga Himiko shot Wu Shiyin a glare. "You're the fujoshi!"

"Alright, alright, enough of that. Food's here." Wu Shiyin smiled as a waiter brought dishes over. Yang Xiao glanced and saw it was barbecue.

He'd actually noticed earlier that the shop's main fare was barbecue, with several nearby seats full of people eating it. But the place also had other food—noodles, sushi, all of it.

"Xiao Yang, eat up, don't be shy. Eat as much as you want today." Wu Shiyin laughed heartily, raising his glass to clink with Yang Xiao again.

This time Yang Xiao didn't spit it out; doing it again wouldn't be fun.

Toga Himiko glanced at Yang Xiao, then looked at Wu Shiyin. "Can I eat whatever I want?"

Wu Shiyin shook his head. "Today I'm mainly treating Xiao Yang to a meal. You're just a bonus. If you want to work, I might let you eat more."

"Gin-san, are you serious?" Toga Himiko's expression turned serious as she stared into Wu Shiyin's eyes.

Feeling uncomfortable under her gaze, Wu Shiyin quickly said, "Of course I'm serious. My shop's short-staffed. I can't rely on just Xiao Yang alone."

"Fine, I'll start work tomorrow!" After saying that, Toga Himiko turned to the waiter and shouted, "Add another order of what I just ordered!"

"Got it!" the waiter replied.

"Pfft!" Yang Xiao spat it out again. Toga Himiko was actually coming to work at Problem Solver, as his colleague?

How did this sound so absurd? This was a bloodthirsty loli, after all. Being around her every day was dangerous, okay? Who knew when she'd decide to collect his blood.

"You... do you have a problem with me?" Toga Himiko tilted her head toward Yang Xiao. "Say it now if you've got something to say."

"I don't have a problem, and I've got nothing to say. Just... look forward to working together!" Yang Xiao stood up and apologized; the situation had really caught him off guard.

"Gin-san, you haven't introduced us yet." Toga Himiko accepted Yang Xiao's apology, her expression softening.

Wu Shiyin then remembered he hadn't made introductions, so he pointed at Yang Xiao. "This is my top man at Problem Solver, Yang Xiao. Seems like he's a student, same as you."

"And this little beauty is Toga Himiko, also a student like you. I can't say much more than that." Wu Shiyin smiled at Yang Xiao while happily munching on a skewer of meat.

Yang Xiao nodded but didn't reach out to shake Toga Himiko's hand. He didn't want to seem too eager or draw her attention.

Mainly because he'd already caught her notice twice. If he kept it up, something would definitely go wrong.

Toga Himiko, for her part, wasn't interested in Yang Xiao. She had no interest in ordinary people. A quick look told her Yang Xiao was plain, though he was decent-looking. But none of that mattered.

After they ate for a while, Toga Himiko's food arrived. Yang Xiao saw the bloody organs on the plate and felt like throwing up. That was some seriously heavy taste.

The organs had been cooked, but at most medium-rare—the kind of doneness some foreigners ate. In Asia, it was pretty hard to stomach.

Wu Shiyin's mouth twitched too, but he was used to it. Toga Himiko wasn't eating this for the first time. He looked at Yang Xiao, whose face was also a bit off, and said, "Don't mind it. Her taste is different from ours."

"I understand, I understand." Yang Xiao forced a smile. How could such a cute girl be like this? Eating with blood all over her mouth was kind of creepy.

The customers who'd thought Toga Himiko was cute were stunned too. Seeing her eat that stuff made them nauseous.

Their interest vanished, though a few still found her unique and different.

Yeah, she was definitely different. Yang Xiao said nothing, just ate his skewers and drank with Wu Shiyin.

They ate until past ten. Wu Shiyin offered to walk Toga Himiko home, but she refused. Yang Xiao didn't need a ride either.

Wu Shiyin had to head back to Problem Solver alone. Yang Xiao strolled home at a leisurely pace, took a hot shower, and lay on the sofa watching TV, but his mind was elsewhere.

Toga Himiko was actually joining Problem Solver. She was a future member of the League of Villains, and the people she dealt with now were probably shady too. What was he supposed to do?

Yang Xiao had no idea when Toga Himiko started down the dark path. Maybe it had already begun, but he couldn't stop it directly. Perhaps, using the excuse of being coworkers, he could try to pull her back.

At least keep her from joining the League of Villains. That would just cause him trouble. He was going to enter U.A. High School eventually and would have to fight the League. He didn't want to battle a colleague like Toga Himiko.

"Time to sleep. I'll deal with it tomorrow." Yang Xiao stretched and climbed into bed.

The next day, when Yang Xiao arrived at Problem Solver, he found the rolling shutter already open. It was only 7:50, not even 8 yet.

Normally, Wu Shiyin wouldn't open until at least 8, sometimes ten or more minutes late.

"Hey, you're later than me?" Toga Himiko sat on the sofa in Problem Solver, glancing sideways at Yang Xiao outside the door. Wu Shiyin was holding his head, looking half-asleep. Toga had come way too early, waking him at 7:30 and not letting him sleep anymore.

Yang Xiao smiled. Wu Shiyin had screwed himself over. No more sleeping in from now on.

"Don't you have school?" Yang Xiao asked Toga Himiko as he walked into Problem Solver.

"School?" Toga Himiko sneered. "Go if I want, skip if I don't. What's the big deal? Speaking of which... shouldn't you be in school too?"
