Having confirmed that Katharine Hepburn was going to Georgia to attend Lorna's aunt Lorin's wedding, Henry had no choice but to pay attention to the movements of the other two—Lorna's older brother and sister, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff.
Because Quicksilver had been recruited back by the X-Men, Henry instinctively did not want to contact him. Keeping a certain distance from Mutants remained an unchanging principle—though that principle already looked rather tattered.
Since he could not look for Quicksilver, he could only look for the Scarlet Witch. That tall woman stayed unfailingly in the Emporium, the magic supply shop she had opened, located on the first floor of her apartment building in the Tribeca District.
In truth, if not for the door connecting to the Chaos Dimension, Henry would not have been so concerned. If that woman abandoned her post and some monster came running out from the other side, would his home still be safe?
Having made up his mind, Henry called out to the old lady. "Kate, I'm going to the Emporium to ask whether Wanda and the others want to go to Atlanta with Lorna for the wedding."
Katharine Hepburn had just returned from her walk and finished freshening up. She was sitting comfortably by the window, basking in the warm sunlight. Hearing Henry, she lazily replied, "Got it. Bring me back some incense while you're at it—the kind I usually use."
"No problem. I'm heading out."
He drove normally to the Tribeca District and parked the old Cadillac in the underground garage. Returning to the first floor, Henry found that Wanda's Emporium had no back entrance, only a front door.
After entering, he saw the Scarlet Witch, dressed like a Gypsy, sitting before a sandalwood table. A tarot spread lay on the table, and she was whispering
