Forced requisition

Two Type 1 military helicopters hovered close to the rooftop, each with a 50mm machine gun mounted on its open cockpit door, pointed directly at the people on the rooftop. The intention to attack was very clear, but they hadn't opened fire yet.

At the same time, a squad of U.S. military. soldiers emerged from the stairwell, all of them fully armed. Not only were the X-Men confused, but even the soldiers who had been with Betty Thaddeus Ross on the rooftop were quite surprised.

A man dressed in a military uniform, but with a leather jacket—a very haphazard outfit—appeared, surrounded by a group of armed soldiers. His entrance was marked by an arrogant attitude. "I am Major Moses Major Cain. Due to a severe biohazard attack in Raccoon City, a state of emergency has been declared."

"I am now carrying out a temporary expropriation order in accordance with the powers granted to me by the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution. I will forcibly expropriate all equipment and supplies here, and everyone is required to cooperate."

"I understand that you have the legal right to refuse this requisition order. But think carefully, Mutants, won't your actions of resisting the government cause even greater trouble for your community?"

"Furthermore, the X-Men have had government support since their inception, and you have an obligation to assist in the implementation of official policies. Simply put, X-Men, you must obey my orders."

"Now everyone stand to one side, line up, and accept our inspection and registration. Wait for my next orders. If you understand, then get started. Hurry, hurry, I have a lot of things to do. The more cooperative you are, the easier things will be."

If everyone present were young New Generation X-Men, they would have been completely intimidated and obediently followed orders.

But with veteran X-Men members like Cyclops, Storm, and Jean Grey around, they've seen all sorts of bizarre things. They certainly wouldn't just do whatever an official says.

The only regret is that Professor X, the most "persuasive" one, ended up falling into a coma while trying to help Rogue. He's currently lying on a hospital bed inside the Blackbird Jet.

So at this point, Cyclops was in Cyclops of the X-Men, and he stepped in to argue with Moses Kane. "Major, the X-Men have always been a private, non-profit organization. There's never been an official recruitment, so we're bound by the rule of obeying orders."

"What If...? it didn't exist before, it does today. I've said it before, I don't have time to waste on this nonsense. You know perfectly well what's going on in Raccoon City. Every bit of my time you waste could mean the loss of an innocent life." Moses Kane's actions were as impatient as he himself had said. When the X-Men, led by Cyclops, showed signs of resistance, he simply shouted, "Soldiers!"

The soldier who followed the major immediately raised his gun and aimed at everyone, and skillfully tried to drive them together.

This tough approach did indeed work. Without Professor X's leadership, Cyclops was unable to clearly tell everyone what to do. No one knew whether to obey or resist, so much so that they unconsciously retreated when the soldiers approached.

Betty Thaddeus Ross then stepped forward and asked, "Where's Lieutenant Colonel Spaar? Isn't she the commander here?"

In fact, Betty Thaddeus Ross immediately wanted to ask a soldier she knew to go downstairs to find Lieutenant Colonel Kathleen Lieutenant Colonel Spaar. However, Moses Kane's men were blocking the stairwell entrance, so despite being U.S. military, she couldn't go downstairs.

"The Lieutenant Colonel came to my post to inspect the defensive setup. I'm temporarily in charge here." Perhaps seeing that the other person was dressed in ordinary clothes and not a member of the military, Moses Kane started spouting nonsense.

However, those who understood what he meant knew that Lieutenant Colonel Spaar was probably already under his control. That's why he was so emboldened to come here and swagger around. Although no one knew what tricks he had used to do this.

Ursa Major communicated through the Mecha's internal channel. "So this is internal strife? Should we intervene?"

Green Arrow Duck also said in the internal channel, "Make a move? Why? If you've been paying attention to the regional radar alerts, do you think we're in for a good show, or are we in trouble and the enemy is sending reinforcements?"

"I don't know. But even if those people are reinforcements for the enemy, we can handle them, right?"

"Of course, unless they have the capability to move main battle tanks to the rooftop, the only thing that can be considered heavy firepower is those two helicopters. Do you think it will be difficult to deal with those two?"

"As long as you don't make any demands that no one is killed, then they're two sitting ducks. Even if reinforcements arrive, I don't think the situation will change much." Yeah, so let's just watch the show. I have a feeling it's going to be very interesting.

Just as Green Arrow Duck and Alexei were arguing on the internal channel, and Cyclops, Betty Thaddeus Ross, and Major Moses Major Cain were locked in a heated debate, a jet roared overhead from above the two helicopters.

The jet aircraft didn't actually fly at full speed. But compared to the circling speed of a helicopter, it was still much faster. Its threat level was self-evident.

This extremely dangerous behavior naturally made the pilots of the two helicopters curse. But after receiving a response from the public channel, the two pilots immediately shut their mouths and didn't dare to utter a single word.

In addition to the silence from the pilot of the J-1 in response to the radio channel, an attack helicopter squadron of eight state-of-the-art R-66 Cammanche stealth attack helicopters approached menacingly from afar.

These eight stealth helicopters did not appear on the radar of the -1 until they were within visual range, at which point the pilot of the -1 spotted them. That goes without saying how surprising that was.

This display of force convinced the pilots of the two A3-1s of the earlier notification over the public communication channel, making them even more hesitant to act rashly. They knew the enemy truly had the right to shoot them down, What If...? they disobeyed orders...

The jet plane that had just passed by circled back and approached the rooftop of the temporary base at an incredibly slow speed. If a normal jet plane were flying at that slow speed, it would probably have stalled and fallen down long ago.

However, the V-8B "Falcon I1" attack aircraft belonging to the U.S. Marine Corps is a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The attack aircraft near the rooftop is preparing to land directly.

Whether it was because someone had warned it or because the attack aircraft was just incredibly lucky, it avoided the location where the X-Men's Blackbird Jet were parked with Optical Camouflage and successfully landed on this crowded rooftop.

The cockpit canopy opened, and the pilot in the back seat stood up. However, he was wearing Army camouflage combat uniform, not the standard flight attire for an attack aircraft pilot, which looked somewhat out of place.

After placing the flight helmet on the seat, the co-pilot took out his camouflage cap and put it on. The four black stars on the front were very conspicuous to U.S. military soldiers, but for Betty Thaddeus Ross, what she didn't want to see was that face. General Thaddeus General Ross, nimbly jumped out of the plane and walked towards the opposing position.
