Police Call-Out

Only three FBI agents arrived; the main force for arresting the unlicensed doctor was dispatched by the LAPD. Nobody thought there would be any problem arresting a doctor; the only concern was whether they could seize the illicit funds at the same time.

However, this is ultimately a predominantly Black neighborhood, and no one dares to show up empty-handed with just an arrest warrant. So everyone carries a gun to avoid any unexpected incidents.

The reason for such a grand display is simply that the terrain of this location is quite complex, with numerous passageways. It would take a lot of manpower to completely seal it off.

After all, nobody wants that 600,000... well, the suspect, to escape.

With a radio command from the on-site commander, the assault team immediately moved out. Even the two FBI agents besides the supervisor stayed at the rear of the group, instead of all remaining in a safe place to await the results.

Everyone was wearing bulletproof vests with the words "POLICE" or "FBI" clearly visible, and they rushed into the alley in a single file.

At the end of the alley, the target clinic's half-open Roll-up Shutter, just as the news had said, had the word "Fixman" written in street graffiti.

Even though the target was not supposed to be threatening, everyone followed CQB tactical principles and hid in positions where the enemy couldn't attack them immediately, instead of like in the movies where a group of people like to line up in front of a door and wait to be shot.

Once everyone was in position, the people standing on either side of the Roll-up Shutter each patted the shoulder of the policeman standing in the first position. The two men, understanding each other's intentions, lifted the Roll-up Shutter from both sides and opened it completely in one go.

Immediately, police officers wielding batons smashed open the door to a cubicle leading to the back room. The crowd shouted, "Police! Everyone, don't move!" and filed into the room.

Then, the group of armed police officers who terrified the teenagers were a few black children.

Some people were asleep on the bed or floor, while a few who were awake were sitting on the sofa in front of the TV, taking turns playing Super Nintendo games, Super Mario World, which is generally considered to be the fourth generation.

This group of children, the oldest of whom had probably just graduated from elementary school, had a television, a game console, a few empty pizza boxes, and Coke bottles in the room. Forget rice or leaves, there wasn't even a pack of cigarettes to be found.

Not only were the police and FBI agents stunned, but the children who had guns pointed at them were also trembling uncontrollably.

The children who were woken up weren't much better off; the first thing they saw when they opened their eyes was a bunch of police officers with guns. Some of them thought they were dreaming and rubbed their eyes.

Immediately, a strong smell of urine filled the air; someone had been so frightened that they wet their pants.

"Tucker! What are you doing here? Why aren't you home?" Among the attacking police, a black officer stepped forward and shouted at one of the children.

One of the children, who had been trying to hide like a quail but had been pulled out, said, "Dad, this is Leif's secret base. We're just here to play games."

"You came here early to play games?"

"I stayed here yesterday..."

What?! You didn't come home?!

"Mom knows I'm staying at Leif's. We're just not staying at Leif's; we're at his secret hideout."

The child who had been called out several times was now shrinking his head, trying to make himself less noticeable.

"How come I didn't know about this?" the policeman, now the father, shouted excitedly.

But the child, emboldened, raised his voice and replied, "You didn't come home yesterday again, what am I supposed to say to you?"

Andrew Saxon's criminal gang, totaling nearly 100 members, has been completely arrested and brought to justice.

Just taking statements from each person kept all the police officers and FBI Agent incredibly busy. They also had to assign people to Tinkerer and protect Andrew Saxon as he went to the hospital; everyone was operating beyond their capacity.

Under these circumstances, which police officer can go home and get a good night's sleep? Of course, they'll all be stuck at the Police Station working overtime.

We need to get the procedures done quickly and send them to the detention center. Otherwise, if hundreds of people are crammed into the Police Station, it will not only be chaotic, but it will also cause trouble if they start a disturbance.

But how can a father complain about these things to a child who isn't even an adult yet? He's internally replaying all sorts of freaking scenarios, yet he can't possibly unleash them on his own son.

The raiding party commander acted decisively, saying, "Everyone, check the room, be on high alert." He then holstered his gun and approached a noticeably older child, asking, "Are you all alone here?"

The children hadn't yet picked up the streetwise temperament. Facing the armed police, they were very reserved and respectful, saying, "Yes, sir, it's just us."

"No adults have been here?"

"Hmm, only the pizza delivery guy, he should be an adult by now."

"You said you all stayed here, but did anyone come and leave?" the police squad leader asked sharply.

"Yes, Mike, Shaw, Allen..." The child rattled off several names without even trying to cover for his companions, showing a complete lack of loyalty.

Hearing that there were still so many people, the police squad leader was at his wits' end. He asked again, "Who are these people?"

"Some of our classmates are from the same class, some are from the same school, but I know them all."

Which school?

"Asberk Elementary School, Officer."

They answered almost every question.

The police officers who had been searching the area returned to the lobby. Everyone put away their guns and shook their heads regretfully.

The team leader stared speechlessly at the two FBI Agent, both looking at each other in bewilderment. It seemed this trip was going to be a waste of time.

At that moment, a child said tremblingly, "Sir, will you arrest us?"

Can we arrest them? The Police Station is already chaotic enough; taking all these kids back would only make things worse!

The police squad leader said sternly, "That's up to you, kids. First, tell me, whose place is this?"

"Leif..." "Leif!" the frightened children answered impatiently, glancing at the older child who was trying to hide.

Betrayed by a group of people, the child had no choice but to step forward and say, "Sir, this is my uncle's house. He told me it's empty and I can come and play."

"Where did these things come from?" the police squad leader asked, pointing to the television and video game equipment in the room, which were clearly things the children couldn't afford.

One of the children raised his hand and said, "My dad didn't want the TV anymore. We got a bigger TV now."

The other child said, "I brought the game console. My dad bought it."

The police squad leader noticed that the two children's clothes were of good quality, suggesting they might come from wealthy families, making the theft unlikely. He then asked, "Where did you get the money for your food and drinks?"

"My allowance..." "Me too." "Me too..." The children reluctantly raised their hands, looking aggrieved.

At that moment, the on-site commander outside spoke over the radio, "This is the captain. Have you apprehended the suspect? Report back. Over."
