The Mages of Kamar-Taj
The thigh has been separated from the body, and there may be severe blood loss, but there is still hope for recovery.
However, since the head separated from the body from the neck, there's no need to consider blood loss; it's a direct diagnosis of death.
Her beautiful face showed no fear or pain; she was simply bewildered, utterly confused. Her eyes were wide open, just as they had been when the girl looked at him with questioning eyes in bed, quietly waiting for an answer, never urging him.
But now, no matter how much I say, the girl won't hear an answer.
Although the doubts about whether it was true or false still filled Superman's mind, his body had already subconsciously acted, wanting to punch the Void that had done it. In an instant, he charged forward and threw a punch.
The Void, whose speed and reaction time were probably on par, or even slightly superior, got away first. Superman didn't give chase, but remained where the wreckage stood, arms raised.
The familiar, pungent smell, originating from pheromones stimulating a heightened sense of smell, all indicated that this skeleton was not a fabrication.
It knelt on the ground numbly, holding its head in its hands. The touch of its fingertips, the cosmetics it habitually used, the bleached hair color—more and more evidence pointed to the same fact.
Before the Super Brain's absolute rationality could deduce a certain conclusion, it had already cradled its head in its arms and howled instead of weeping.
By this time, its disguise could no longer hold up, and it gradually reverted to its original appearance. It was merely a change under conscious muscle control, not a permanent alteration.
But it didn't care about any of that anymore; its mind was filled with the future a girl should have. Who cared about keeping a straight face anymore?
The Oscars- winning actress's achievements were yet to be realized; countless classic films and roles awaited her. But because it was related to her own life, did it abruptly end just before its most beautiful moment?
True pain doesn't produce tears. The kind of pain that tears a person apart is the kind that truly shatters them. Even though the earth continues to turn, and the Sun Pharma and moon still rise in the east and set in the west, all these natural phenomena still appear to one as if the sky has fallen and the earth has cracked.
This was the first time it had encountered such a situation, where it had no thoughts whatsoever, only its throat emitting a howl on its own.
Most of the onlookers, including the wizards and X-Men, were clueless. They didn't understand why the person in the red and blue suit was kneeling and howling, nor did they know why the Void had also stopped attacking.
Today, with such heavy casualties in New York, he showed no sign of mourning, yet he knelt for one person. Could it be that the deceased was someone he knew? This question was on everyone's mind.
Even Quicksilver, who seemed closest to Superman, was equally puzzled. But in this situation, he dared not urge the man to continue his attack on the Void.
That pure and painful howl, though clearly not a sound wave or magical attack, stopped everyone in their tracks.
Meanwhile, Kamar-Taj's unique circular teleportation magic circles unfolded in multiple locations on one side of the battlefield. The most powerful group of mages on Earth, under the command of the Sorcerer Supreme, finally arrived at the scene.
Leading the group was an old man with a white beard, wearing a red robe with gold trim and a crown. The moment he appeared, he added an illusionary barrier to the location where the Kamar-Taj mages were teleported, making it impossible for others to see inside, but allowing them to see outside.
Behind the leading mage was a group of mages of various appearances. They came in all shapes and sizes, and were of different colors and hues.
Their only commonality was their relatively uniform clothing. It resembled the robes of martial monks from Eastern Buddhism, without the sashes worn diagonally.
One person's attire was different from the other disciples. He wore a dark blue robe and a bright red Cloak of Levitation, making him appear to float on the air.
The Eye of Agamotto hanging on his chest clearly shows that he has become a strong candidate to become the next Sorcerer Supreme, otherwise he would not possess the most important heirloom artifact of Kamar-Taj.
He is Tony Stark, the man who was destined to become Iron Man.
The wizard version of Tony Stark appears much calmer and more composed, unlike the frivolous playboy that outsiders perceive him to be, always cursing and chasing after women.
He knew that today 'World War I was important, but he couldn't come immediately because he had to assist his teacher, Sorcerer Supreme Ancient One, in retrieving the Book of the Vishanti, the highest magical artifact of their lineage.
As he floated out of the portal, the halo created by the Sling Ring disappeared behind him, almost brushing against the end of the mischievous Cloak of Levitation as it drifted away, closing the portal.
This precise self-control is the reason why he gained the approval of the other disciples of the Ancient One to wear the Eye of Agamotto.
As soon as he arrived at the battlefield, he heard a man's shrill howl, and the voice sounded somewhat familiar.
Upon closer inspection, a figure dressed as Superman from a comic book or movie was howling while clutching a Deadman's head. The appearance was somewhat similar to a certain man, yet the face seemed to be constantly changing.
And that head... belongs to that man's girlfriend, Charlize Theron!
"Walter!" Tony Stark, unusually dressed like this, uttered a curse and was about to step forward to find out more, but was stopped by his teacher.
At the same time, a beam of light as thick as a person shot down from the sky, landing beside the Kamar-Taj mages. With a sound like thunder, a beautiful, mature woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in elegant classical attire, appeared from the beam of light.
"Queen Frigga." The Ancient One first greeted the helper he had found, following ancient etiquette.
"Sorcerer Supreme," Queen Frigga of Asgard returned the greeting respectfully. She asked, "Is it really enough if I only help? The King of Gods is already prepared."
"The God-King's lifespan cannot withstand the upcoming battles, so he is unnecessary. However, I need the Queen's exceptional magical skills to cooperate with me and become part of Vishanti Array."
"Please give me your orders." Frigga waved her hands lightly, then gracefully withdrew, changing into a metallic battle robe amidst the dazzling light, and waited.
Although Kamar-Taj's support was shielded by illusions, the Void could still sense it.
However, he didn't intervene to stop the arrival of the sorcerer in the distance; he simply stared smugly at Superman, who had howled until his voice was hoarse and he could no longer utter a sound. This was the only major enemy he felt was truly threatening.
The Void said, "So, you're going to fly around the Earth backwards and reverse time? To be honest, this just gives me another chance to kill that girl. With my abilities, you can't save anyone."
"This day must have been terrible for you. Because I could taste the despair in your heart, a kind of wonderful despair I never imagined. To be honest, I'm not the kind of person who lives off other people's emotions. But I actually feel like I'm getting addicted. Ha!"
The wailing of the person kneeling on the ground gradually subsided, as if the sound was stuck in their throat and they couldn't utter a sound. In its place came laughter.
From barely suppressing a laugh, to a soft chuckle, and then to a hearty laugh, there was no joy in the laughter; instead, it gave one a feeling of utter devastation.
When it raised its head again, it had regained its original appearance, but blood tears streamed from its eyes, making them bloodshot, and its face was so pale it could Deadman. Its crying expression was accompanied by laughter.
Even as tears of blood streamed down its lips, it didn't stop its laughter. It simply wiped the corner of its mouth, and the crimson stain looked as if a smile had been drawn on its face.
The ominous laughter and mask sent a chill the Void. For a moment, he was at a loss for how to react to the man dressed as Superman. "What are you laughing at? Are you crazy?"
Why are you so serious?
A rhetorical question, and the battle begins again!
The head was placed back on the ground, but the one who rushed out had no Superman -like concerns. The first punch was accompanied by a strange hissing sound. At the very end of the void, Iron Fist slammed into the face of the Void, deforming it completely.
The Void, sent flying by the punch, crashed through three buildings before finally coming to a stop in mid-air. It glared menacingly through the holes in the walls at the man opposite it.
He thought he had found his opponent's Mind Stone weakness, but little did he know that it was actually the switch to remove the limiter.
