Infiltration Operation

The guard post at the reservoir staff passage was quite simple: just a lamp illuminating the door, and a soldier standing there without a rifle. The pistol in the holster at his waist posed little threat, but the radio hanging from his shoulder did.

The light was not bright at all and did not reach very far. That was why the Boar Mech was able to get quite close without drawing the soldier's attention. Standing in his blind spot was, of course, another reason.

The countdown to the agreed time reached zero on the internal displays of every mech, and the Bonnie Mech immediately activated its electronic warfare jamming function.

Chaotic radio waves jammed every channel. Strong static was the only sound that could be heard over the radio, if anyone noticed right away.

At the same time, Bullhead severed the cables used for external communications.

Because the area around the reservoir was quite desolate, all kinds of lines ran through the same passage to reduce maintenance trouble. Thus, what Bullhead had destroyed included telephone lines, network cables, power lines, and more.

However, the reservoir had its own power-generating capability. To keep the secret base operating normally, it was also equipped with large generators. Therefore, it was nearly impossible to cripple the power facilities from outside and bring the base to a halt.

When the secret base was not in operation, the reservoir's power generation could even feed back into the external grid. Its output was evident from that alone.

Cutting off communications was already enough to establish a considerable offensive advantage.

Unlike Green Arrow Duck, the Boar Mech did not normally move by relying on levitation to glide about as if skating. The compact Boar, built primarily with Isu Technology, could walk and run normally like an ordinary person.
