What the Two Women Had in Common

The images Henry had chosen held no special meaning for Mrs. Mellon, nor were they particularly private photographs. After all, they had all been published in reputable magazines or media outlets before, so he had naturally chosen safe options.

Yet these ordinary photographs, presented in such an extraordinary way, brought all kinds of sorrow surging into the emotional Rachel Lambert's heart. Tears streamed uncontrollably from her eyes.

No one worried that she was crying. Instead, they had been worried she would be unable to cry. A proper emotional release was far more effective than others trying their best to comfort her.

Most noticeably, after Mrs. Mellon had cried, Henry and Katharine Hepburn received significantly better treatment. Even the formerly indifferent Mellon servants looked much gentler now.

Having pulled herself together, Mrs. Mellon immediately directed the household servants to place the crystal Henry had brought somewhere highly visible.

Though it was a gift for herself, it was also an artwork brought for the exhibition. Even though the photographs featured her and her husband, they were proper enough to be displayed.

Setting aside her personal emotions and the man she missed, Rachel Lambert could naturally see where this crystal's value lay.

She had never heard of or seen such a method of using light and shadow. If an achievement like this was not worthy of support and praise, then Rachel Lambert, a woman who had pursued art her entire life, did not know what else was worth mentioning.

In every respect, she loved the piece dearly. She immediately led the others and the servants off to find a suitable location in the garden for the display.

For this exhibition, none of the exhibits were absolute stars. Under Rachel Lambert's arrangements, they had instead been interspersed throughout her meticulously designed garden.
