"You look beautiful today. With such a talent for dressing up, have you ever considered becoming a model?" Not wanting to continue the topic of chatting up men, Henry turned to complimenting the girl.
"Oh, really?" Gwen happily spun around on the spot, sending her skirt fluttering beautifully.
"Let's find somewhere to sit first."

As they strolled side by side, Henry made small talk. "You've been busy with school stuff all this time, and half the summer break is already gone. What have you been working on? Can you tell me?"
Mentioning a subject she was good at, Gwen Stacy said excitedly, "There's a biotechnology symposium coming up in San Francisco on the West Coast. I heard Bruce Banner, the man with seven doctorates who may become the greatest scientist of this century, will be presenting a paper and his latest research there.
"Professor Connors is willing to take me with him, but on the condition that I understand what they're saying. I don't necessarily have to understand it all, but I at least need to know what those technical terms mean.
"So I've been cramming materials in this field lately. Professor Connors also gave me a lot of reading lists and papers I might need to familiarize myself with beforehand. I had to work really hard just to squeeze out today."
Gwen Stacy's effort went far beyond merely making time for a day. For today's date, she had gotten up early to dress herself up. She had even regulated her sleep several days in advance to reduce the dark circles beneath her eyes.
