That morning, warm sunlight bathed the tranquil little city amid the sea. Waves gently lapped against the shore, producing a rhythmic sound.
After Yu Hai and A Long had set out to sea by boat, they arrived in this dreamlike city on the water. Located in the open sea south of the peninsula where Kite Town stood, it was called Altomare and was renowned as "the most beautiful city in the world."
He had stayed here for over a month. The reason he had delayed setting out for the Hoenn Region was because the story of a certain movie had surfaced in his mind.

The story of that movie took place in Altomare, the Water Capital, and involved two legendary Eon Pokémon. Yu Hai felt there was plenty to gain here, so he chose to remain. Perhaps he could pick up something good along the way.
Of course, things were far from that simple. He had no designs on the Heart Drop. This Dragon-type item of legendary Pokémon had a setting extremely similar to Ho-Oh's Rainbow Feather.
"When a person with impure intentions uses the Heart Drop, their heart will corrupt it, causing them to lose the Heart Drop. Even this Water Capital will disappear along with it..."
That was the legend concerning the Heart Drop and the two Eon Pokémon. Such ambiguous, idealistic legends made people hesitant to dismiss them completely. After all, Yu Hai had once come into contact with the Rainbow Feather and knew these tales were not
