The sea breeze rustled the trees along the shore. Flares cast their light across the water, making the coastline as bright as day. The tranquil coast was being shattered by an intense battle.

Wherever the Dark Pulse passed, the surrounding light warped, sending out eerie ripples.
"Keke!" Mega Gengar let out a strange laugh, the corners of its mouth curling high. Its scarlet eyes narrowed into crescent moons, carrying an indescribable chill.
It slowly sank into the shadows cast by the flares, leaving behind only its spine-chilling laughter echoing through the air.
"Alakazam, Psychic!" Sabrina stood on the other side of the battlefield, her expression grave and utterly devoid of carelessness. This was different from the time of the Elite Four match.
Although she had used the Psychic Berserk Serum again to raise the Psychic power of Mega Alakazam and Espeon, the Mega Gengar on the other side was far too bizarre. It had actually Mega Evolved without using a Mega Stone.
On top of that, Mega Gyarados was a Dark-type and immune to Psychic-type attacks. If the difference in levels had been enormous, she could have crushed it with sheer level advantage. But now that everyone was roughly the same level, victory would not come so easily.
