The twenty-sixth day of the journey to Sinnoh, cloudy.
After drifting at sea for more than a week, Yu Hai finally arrived in Veilstone City. This luxury cruise had been quite enjoyable, and his previously taut nerves had finally relaxed.
Stepping down the gangway of the luxury liner, he stretched comfortably and headed toward the disembarkation port. At the exit, he spotted someone in the crowd holding a sign with the words "Yu Hai" written on it.
Seeing the sign, he smiled helplessly. He had informed Raisu that he would be arriving in Veilstone City today, so it was hardly strange for someone to come meet the ship.
He walked toward the sign and saw Raisu standing beneath it. Three years apart had brought many changes. They had both grown taller and sturdier, and they were older now. They were no longer the youngsters they had once been, but young men of eighteen or nineteen.
"Long time no see, Raisu." Yu Hai extended his right hand in greeting. After three years apart, Raisu had shed much of his old coldness and become far more welcoming.
"Yeah. It's been three years since the Indigo League." Raisu was dressed casually today. He shook Yu Hai's hand and sank into old memories.
"Let's go. Did you drive here?" Yu Hai turned to look toward the roadside, wondering how they would leave the port.
"Yeah." Raisu led Yu Hai out of the port to a yellow sedan parked by the roadside. He opened the door for Yu Hai to get into the passenger seat, then took the driver's seat and started the car.
"Not bad. You've even got yourself a car now." Yu Hai smiled as he inspected the interior. Everything had a Pokémon theme, and beneath the windshield were figurines of Raisu's Pokémon.
