Half a year later...
Orange Islands, Fishing Island, Fishing Gym...
"Another day of wild fishing," Yu Hai said as he got up and looked out the window. Blue skies, blue seas, bright sunshine—perfect weather for fishing.
"Wake up, sleepyhead..."
Smack—
As he got up, he raised a hand and slapped the perky rear beside him. Dunmei was sleeping next to him. Ever since Dunmei's Father had returned and taken over the Gym again, Dunmei had come to Fishing Island to be all lovey-dovey with him.
Next, Dunmei's Father still needed to manage the Gym with Ada and prepare Ada to take over MikanGym. Ada was already fifteen by then, and several of Ada's Pokémon had broken through to Elite-class. Ada was strong enough to oversee a Gym.
"A Hai," Dunmei said, rubbing the corners of her sleepy eyes. There was a hint of resentment in her gaze at Yu Hai's sneak attack. They had lived together for several months, and Yu Hai occasionally indulged in such mischievous antics.
"Haha." Yu Hai chuckled, then went to the bathroom to wash up before heading to the Dining Room and asking the kitchen lady to bring breakfast. By the time he began eating, Dunmei had finished washing up and come out as well.
"A Hai? You're not going fishing again later, are you?" Dunmei was still sleepy. After all, they had spent the whole night fooling around; it would be a miracle if she had slept well. Yet Yu Hai was lively as ever, fishing by the sea every day without fail. He really was persistent.
"Nothing much has been happening lately, and there aren't many challengers. I'll check on the Pokémon hatching in the backyard first," Yu Hai said as he ate breakfast, recalling what it was like to become a Gym
