Near the western coast of Johto, Yu Hai sat leisurely on Blastoise's back, holding a fishing rod and enjoying a quiet day of fishing.
Suddenly, a fierce wind howled past. He looked up and saw two Dragonite diving down, leaving him slightly stunned. "Dragonite? One is ours—whose is the other one?"
"Roar," Dragonite said. It did not know where the other Dragonite had come from either. They had met in the sky, and since the other one wanted to find its Trainer, it had brought it along.
"Yadon, it says it doesn't know either," Slowking translated Dragonite's cry. As it explained things to Yu Hai, it also used Telepathy to ask the other Dragonite why it had come.
"Roar, I finally found you! Lance is looking for you!" The other Dragonite was panting heavily from its flight. Upon seeing Yu Hai, it finally breathed a sigh of relief and landed excitedly on the sea, crying out nonstop.
"Lance? You mean Lance? Why is he looking for us?" Yu Hai was completely baffled. He could not understand why Lance wanted him. Was Lance trying to press him into service again? And how had Lance even found him?
"A Hai? Answer the phone, answer it now!" Lance's voice came from the phone strapped to Dragonite's chest. Dragonite had called him after finding Yu Hai; all he had to do was press a button. It was foolproof.
