Yu Hai wasn't so carefree or naive as to entrust his life to the kindness of other Pokémon.

He would treat this place as another real world, always viewing everything around him with the utmost malice.

Frankly speaking, he didn't trust anything around him except for his own Pokémon partners, including humans and other Pokémon.

This was a manifestation of his extreme lack of security. Perhaps it would change when he became stronger in the future, but not now.

What could give Yu Hai a sense of security was only the Poliwag evolving into a Whirlpool Warrior. Only then would they have more security. Strength was the source of security, otherwise he wouldn't have avoided the street thug Kingler.

"Level six? The Poliwag's level has actually reached level six." Yu Hai recalled carefully for a moment. Since the Sharp-toothed Fish, the Poliwag didn't seem to have done anything, only fought twice.

He had seen the experience points gained from these two battles before, and they only added 0.5.

"No, that's not right." Yu Hai thought that the Poliwag seemed to have eaten two full meals during this time.

In other words, the Poliwag also gained experience points from eating, which should be the growth part of the experience points.

As long as it was well-fed, it could gain experience points without doing anything.

This should be the process of Pokémon's natural growth, battles, and then evolution in nature.

It was just that the potential column had already locked the growth ceiling. It should be able to break through some during evolution. If it didn't encounter any great tonics or the gift of a Legendary Pokémon, many Pokémon would be like this for the rest of their lives.

Breeding populations and then living a mediocre life was the fate of most Pokémon.

The abilities below the level remained unchanged, but the Skill Proficiency had increased a bit, including Ice Ball, Water Gun, and Chain Slap.

The first two Skills were forced by the Long-winged Gull, so they increased. The last Chain Slap had the largest increase, which should have been gained when slapping the Sharp-toothed Fish.

This upgrade also added a Normal-type Tackle Skill, with a power of only forty points, better than nothing.

Tackle and Chain Slap were the same type of Skill, except that one Skill slapped once, and the other Skill was a continuous slap.

The current Poliwag had Chain Slap for close combat, Water Gun for long-range attacks, and Ice Ball. It had Soothing Mist to heal injuries and remove abnormal statuses, and Hypnosis to hypnotize opponents.

"Yo yo," the Poliwag understood again. Although it was a little frustrated, that was the Water that Yu Hai drank. If it also drank and spat it out, Yu Hai would have no Water to drink.

Then, under Yu Hai's instructions, the Poliwag took small steps and went to the beach to inhale seawater and spit it out, having a great time.

"Come back, Poliwag," Yu Hai waved, signaling the Poliwag to come back.

Yu Hai only let the Poliwag play for a while before calling it back. The sea was not safe at night.

Such a flamboyant Poliwag might have been targeted by predators in the sea.

"Yo yo, yo yo," the Poliwag was also very obedient. After hearing Yu Hai's greeting, it jumped back again, shook off the Water droplets on its body, and leaned against Yu Hai's leg.

Yu Hai looked at the Poliwag's Proficiency Panel again, and sure enough, a Water Gun Skill had been added to the Skills Learned column.

Since Water-type Pokémon could use Water Gun, could he quench his thirst with the Water spit out by Water-type Pokémon when he was about to die of thirst before?

He could see very clearly that the Water spit out by the Poliwag in the sea was also seawater.

Ice Ball wasn't a same-type Skill, so it wasn't suitable.

At this point, Poliwag's training plan was set. Level and Water Gun were the priority, Hypnosis and Chain Slap were secondary, and finally Soothing Mist and Ice Ball.
