An Unexpected Windfall

On the fifteenth day of his journey to the Johto Region, it rained lightly.

Waking up at an inn in Olivine City, Yu Hai noticed the drizzle outside the window. Ninetales was standing by the window.

"Were you watching all night?" Yu Hai got out of bed with a yawn. Seeing Luo Ke still staring outside, he had no idea what was so interesting out there.

After quickly washing up in the bathroom, Yu Hai returned to the room and released his Pokémon for breakfast. Next, they still had to head to the canyon and search for Piloswine's trail.

After breakfast, he checked out. If he could not find Piloswine, he would not stay in Olivine City any longer and would instead head east to search for Crystal Lake.

He would not go north. There was a Lake of Rage to the north, Team Rocket's secret base in the anime, a facility dedicated to researching Pokémon genetic evolution. The Red Gyarados had been born there, so he definitely would not go anywhere near it.

He took Luo Ke onto the streets and asked nearby residents where they could find waterfalls. In the end, he discovered there were many waterfalls around Olivine City, so he could only search them one by one.

Only after reaching the outskirts did he dare speak to Luo Ke. Under the effects of Confusion, only he could see her. If he spoke to Luo Ke in the streets, people would probably think he was insane, since he would be talking to empty air.

"Fearow, Pelipper, go search nearby. Find where there's a Grand Canyon, preferably near a waterfall." Walking through the forest, Yu Hai released the two Flying-type Pokémon to help search for the Grand Canyon.

"Bii!" Fearow flapped its wings and shot into the sky.
