Boom—

The center of the Grass Field exploded with a boom as Slowking and Metagross used Shadow Ball at the same time. The two Shadow Balls collided in the middle of the field, causing a massive explosion.

"No, we need to switch to other energy beam moves." Yu Hai looked toward the smoke-filled battlefield. Within the gravity field, only beam moves unaffected by gravity could reach farther.

Overall, however, Metagross was taking a greater toll, because it had to maintain the gravity field, which consumed a great deal of stamina.

"Slowking, Earthquake..."

"Yah-don." Slowking did not know why Yu Hai wanted it to use Earthquake again. Fortunately, it had trained inside a gravity field before and could still manage to walk with its feet raised for a while. It immediately lifted its foot and stomped out another earthquake wave.

Rumble, rumble—

"Earthquake again." Shingo watched the earthquake waves and considered how to counter them. Shadow Ball clashes were not the answer; they had already tried that, and neither side could do anything to the other.

Yet the only moves Metagross had that could restrain Slowking while remaining unaffected by gravity moves were Shadow Ball and Grass Knot.

Unless he removed the gravity field, but then they would return to the problem of being unable to catch Slowking. Inside Trick Room, against a Psychic-type Pokémon, he would simply be kited to exhaustion.

With that thought, since neither side could move, he directly called out to Metagross, "Metagross, Hyper Beam..."

"Slowking, ignore it. Keep using Earthquake. Use Grass Knot to bind yourself, then defend with Protect and Confusion..."

"There it is! The two Pokémon are bombarding each other within the gravity field! This is a contest of strength and endurance! Earthquake on one side, Hyper Beam on the other—they're competing to see
