The sixteenth day after leaving the Orange Islands, cloudy.

Early in the morning, Yu Hai woke from his dreams. For a moment, he still felt unaccustomed to being alone in the house.

When he returned last night, he had asked Slowking to send Dunmei back to the Gym. He had also specifically mentioned his travel plans to Dunmei's Father. Dunmei's Father had not asked many questions, merely nodded in understanding and agreed with his decision.

Today was the day he would set out again after resting for half a month. His first destination had long been decided: Great Poni Island.

He had not seen the two terrors of the Deserted Island in a long time. He wondered how they were doing. Did they miss Hana Hana and Fearow?

Before going, he needed to bring some gifts. For Pokémon, Energy Cubes were the best gifts. His stockpile was plentiful enough that they could never finish it all, so he could let the two major groups on the Deserted Island help use some of it up.

Next, he planned to set out from Great Poni Island and properly travel around the Pokémon World. After that, he would simply go wherever the road took him.

He got up early, prepared breakfast for the Pokémon, ate a few simple bites himself, then began packing his bags to leave.

There was not actually much to pack. Aside from two full-body Stab-proof Vests and some wilderness survival gear, which were essential for handling emergencies in the wild and at the Black Market, he brought several changes of clothes and some daily necessities. The most important things left were his Pokémon partners.
