Night Raid and Night Raid

At the center of the Deserted Island—

Night fell quietly. A crescent moon, like a silver sickle, hung slanted across the inky-blue sky, casting its cold glow over the Deserted Island.

Yu Hai and Dunmei followed the winding path, stumbling deep and shallow through the terrain until they reached the island's center. Their shoes were covered in mud, dead branches, and fallen leaves.

On the grass beside the lake, the Rhyhorn herd lay sprawled about, enjoying the tranquility of the night. Their massive bodies cast broad shadows beneath the moonlight, making them seem especially still.

Not far away, among the forest, on the cliff face, and in nests atop stone pillars, the Fearow Flock was resting as well, occasionally letting out low cries.

"Rhy..."

The Rhyhorn herd noticed Yu Hai and Dunmei's arrival, but they showed no surprise whatsoever.

When the Fearow from the neighboring Fearow Flock had returned in the evening, they had already learned that the familiar human had set foot on the Deserted Island once again. They had even secretly wondered what delicious food he would bring this time.

Yu Hai released his Rhyhorn from its Poké Ball. Seeing its friends and family, Rhyhorn still hung its head, unable to muster any enthusiasm.

The other Rhyhorn, however, instantly perked up. Several powerfully built Rhyhorn strode forward and gently shoved Iron Hānhān with their thick forelimbs, dragging him toward the herd.

Everyone had not seen one another in a long time and wanted to gather for a chat. The leader also wished to see his "foolish son," so it had specifically sent them to bring Iron Hānhān over.

"Y-you know this Rhyhorn herd?" Dunmei followed behind Yu Hai, her eyes wide with disbelief. She looked around at the Rhyhorn, who were being far too friendly toward Yu Hai.
