It was true that only one monster appeared each round, but this so-called "one" was always rather subtle in some way.
The first round had been a pack of Many-Dog that counted as one, while the second was a Parasitic Bear—a bear in appearance, but with seven long, snake-like tentacles growing from its back.
The tentacles were the real body and could attack independently. Only by cutting them all off could the monster be killed.
However, compared to the first round's Many-Dog, the second-round Parasitic Bear was higher level, yet Seiya and Sun Yue took little time to bring it down.
After all, while the Parasitic Bear also seemed to possess a "multi-headed" trait, unlike the Many-Dog, its parts were connected and could not move independently.
Being able to attack separately was practically no challenge at all for Seiya and Sun Yue, whose skill and agility were both up to par.
The third round was a Goblin Berserker.
