Background / History
Sun Yue entered Rabbit Country Rabitts after receiving a curse mark from Night Raid Lycaon, one of the Seven Supreme Species. Unlike Seiya's mark from Heavenly Tyrant Jikvirm, Sun Yue's curse identified him as Lycaon's prey rather than an acknowledged opponent. Seeking revenge against Lycaon, he approached Seiya after recognizing their similar circumstances 611 612.
He and Seiya accepted Weissash's Ex-level trial, “The Fatal Rabbit's Ballad 1,” and formed a party for the Fatal Arena. Sun Yue initially struggled against the level-65 Many-Dog pack, but adapted to Seiya's aggro-drawing strategy and killed its commander with Limit Break, Shift Step, and Scorching Thrust 613 614.
Across the arena's ten rounds, Sun Yue and Seiya developed increasingly coordinated teamwork. They defeated the Obsessive Tree Demon by redirecting its tracking magic at itself, controlling it with Seiya's grappling hook, and using Sun Yue's Plunder Skill to steal its staff. The victory earned both players the Fatal Collar and honorary citizenship in Rabitts 615 617 618.
Sun Yue later joined Panshilgon and Katsuo in planning the raid against Gravekeeper Vezavimon. During the battle, he and Seiya used a switching tactic: Seiya held Vezavimon's attention while Sun Yue attacked its mount, Kijin. He also directed the rest of the party to focus their damage on Kijin after reviving 620 621 633.
Personality
Sun Yue is a challenge-driven gamer who finds easy victories boring. His experience with difficult and poorly made “trash games” sharpened his reflexes, focus, observation, and willingness to experiment with unconventional tactics 614 899.
He is competitive and prideful, particularly around Seiya. Although he openly recognizes Seiya's superior ability under equal conditions, he repeatedly seeks opportunities to close the gap through training, leveling, and equipment upgrades 618 867 868. His competitiveness does not prevent him from showing sportsmanship; after his narrow loss to Silvia, he enjoyed the match and looked forward to fighting her again 659.
Appearance
Sun Yue's usual Shangri-La Frontier appearance is associated with his bird-headed curse-bearer identity, leading others to call him “Bird-Head Bro.”
- Bears Night Raid Lycaon's curse mark 611 867.

- Commonly fights with dual blades, though he later expands into gauntlet-based combat 613 868 869.
