Wei Qing led the survivors through the Black Mist Wasteland, uncovered a demon plot, and gained the Cloud Firmament Sect’s inheritance. Back in the capital, he rose within the Heavenly Mirror Division, confronted the Xia family and his own relatives, and hinted that further trouble was coming.

• Wei Qing entered the Black Mist Wasteland with his companions as the fog sealed the entrance and Mirage Demons attacked the gathered disciples.
• Wei Qing killed the demons and led the survivors to the Cloud Firmament Sect ruins, where a trial assigned them inheritance palaces and a mysterious figure summoned him to the Central Hall.
• Wei Qing resisted Yun Tianheng’s attempt to possess him, and Luo Liuli revealed the demon plot to sacrifice Jizhou’s geniuses before giving Wei Qing Yun Tianheng’s resources and a way to leave the wasteland.
• Wei Qing exposed Qin Yang as a half-demon, led the disciples out through an array, and united their elders against the Blood Robe Sect.
• Wei Qing returned to the capital and was promoted to Earth Grade Garrison Commander, while Jun Wushang also received a promotion and the officials promised Wei Qing a reward if he advanced quickly.
• Wei Qing stopped Xia Yiran from abducting Su Lie, then returned to Wei Manor and used the deed to expel Wei Zheng, Liu Ru, and Wei Lin.
• Wei Qing rejected Zhou Yan’s recruitment after Yun Tianheng sensed demonic aura on the prince, and he sent his family away while telling Li Wen that the real show had only just begun.
