Background

Mobius secretly purchased a human-shaped stone statue excavated by a European mining company after detecting faint signs of life within it. Convinced it could be a primitive organism tens of thousands of years old, she and her assistant Blanca fled Fire Moth’s M Continent headquarters overnight, taking the specimen to an underground laboratory in Shenzhou. She staked her resources and reputation on obtaining the statue’s data before Fire Moth could claim it. 1

The statue awakened as Xu Ziling. Rather than treating his overwhelming physical ability and escape attempt solely as a threat, Mobius recognized that he was intelligent, communicative, and potentially capable of advancing human evolution.
