"Li Yun, go clock in! You're going to be late!"

There was knocking, along with shouting, outside the dormitory door.

The door was slightly ajar, and a woman revealed half her face. Her complexion looked somewhat pale. "I haven't been feeling well lately. Help me ask the supervisor for two days off."

"You really don't look well." Her coworker hesitated. "I'll come in and take a look at you."

"No... I'm fine. I just went astray while practicing qi."

The coworker was half convinced and half doubtful. "But a major figure from the Holy Land is coming to inspect the place today. You might even catch their eye... Are you really going to miss this opportunity? Our workshop is one of the key places they'll be inspecting."

"In my condition, even if I forced myself to go, those important figures wouldn't like what they saw, would they?" The woman—Li Yun—smiled bitterly. "Do you think I want to miss it? This damned Scarlet Dragon came right when it pleased."

"Then get some good rest."

Watching her coworker leave, Li Yun finally shut the door tightly. She seemed to let out a sigh of relief, then slowly turned around. "Oh... the usual?" Ye Yan shrugged.

Li Yun sighed and obediently returned to the room. She chose a relatively comfortable position and lay down, then closed her eyes—and pulled the blanket over herself as well.

"Sorry about this." Ye Yan chuckled
