"Are we monks? Why is everything so vegetarian?" Hyuga Matsuba looked unwilling. He was not some devout carnivore, but an entire table of vegetable dishes was just too much.
Training consumed a lot of energy. How was he supposed to keep up without even any meat?
"Sorry, but I haven't really felt like eating meat lately." Mikoto looked at Hyuga Matsuba apologetically.
After completing the mission, the images of corpses and blood still lingered in her mind. Mikoto had no appetite at all, and whenever she thought of meat, she thought of that scene.
"Don't feel guilty. I understand. If you don't want to eat it, then we won't." Hyuga Matsuba sighed and picked up his chopsticks.
Still, no matter what, Mikoto's cooking was absolutely superb. Even vegetable dishes tasted delicious, and in the blink of an eye, half the table had been cleared.
After eating and drinking their fill, Hyuga Matsuba's belly was so bloated that he could barely walk.
"Did I gain weight again? I eat so much every day."
"Just shut up. You were the one who insisted on eating." Kushina looked at him disdainfully and began mocking him.
"And you have the nerve to say that about me? We're obviously the same, okay? You're so stuffed you can't walk either. If you get fat, I won't want you anymore." Hyuga Matsuba refused to back down.
"You've got some nerve, saying you don't want me anymore. Are you asking for a beating?" Kushina's eyes widened as she prepared to attack.
"I get it. Have I been too nice to you? You actually dare bully me now?" Hyuga Matsuba flashed a wicked grin, turned around, pinned Kushina down, and began pinching her round little cheeks.
"Ah! I won't dare anymore, let me go!"
