Terrified screams rose and fell, echoing through the entire museum. At a time like this, who still cared whether they would alert anyone else?
They practically begged to alert someone! Two mummies shuffled slowly toward their group, the burial wrappings around them gradually unraveling as long strips of cloth coiled toward the crowd.
Everyone slammed on the brakes. After several people fell, they scrambled on all fours and fled in the opposite direction.
But two people failed to stop in time and were caught by the burial wrappings. Screaming, they were dragged slowly toward the two mummies.
"No! Boss! Save me!"
"Ahhh! I don't want to die! Save me! Someone save me!"
Those lagging behind could not help looking back, only to see layer upon layer of burial wrappings winding around the two men as they were dragged away.
Everyone shuddered in terror, trembling all over. Who dared linger any longer? They only hated that their parents had not given them two more legs, and hated themselves for exercising too little.
But after avoiding the mummy blocking one staircase, they circled back to the entrance of the exhibition hall they had just emerged from.
And in that brief delay...
Two wolf-headed monsters stepped out with spears in hand. With a sudden forward thrust, they pierced one man through the left shoulder and right ribs, lifting him into the air.
"Ah!!!"
The man screamed at the top of his lungs. The people beside him immediately saw black smoke rising from his body as if he were being dehydrated, rapidly withering away.
The next moment, a black panther lunged out from the pitch-black entrance of the exhibition hall, pouncing another man to the ground before biting his head clean off.
"Ahhh!!!"
