Having spent Christmas Eve in the modern world, Lu Zheng brought Liu Qingyan and Shen Ying to Hundred Springs Valley for a soak in the hot springs the very next day.
Shen Ying took a bite of an apple, then smacked her lips. "It's just so-so. It's not as good as those crisp, sweet ones."
Lu Zheng shrugged. Those crisp and sweet ones were top-grade Red Fujis, of course. Still, everyone had different tastes; some people simply liked softer apples.
With a grin, Liu Qingyan popped a grape into her mouth, then fed another to Lu Zheng. "To think we can eat grapes in the depths of winter. Qingyan never would have dared dream of it before."
Shen Ying smiled. "Once I carve out an orchard behind Peach Blossom Forest and seal off the cold, we'll be able to eat fruit and vegetables in winter too."
Wasn't that just a greenhouse? Modern people could solve it with physics; naturally, ancient people could solve it with spells.
Shen Ying and Liu Qingyan had never eaten such things before only because their cultivation had not been sufficient. But if the great powers or major forces here truly wanted to satisfy such a small craving, how could they possibly lack a method?
"Still, the grapevines in the mountains don't produce grapes as delicious as the ones Lu Lang picks," Liu Qingyan added with a smile.
Her lovely eyes shimmered as Liu Qingyan felt the hot spring enveloping her body. She let out a satisfied sigh. "It's been so long since I last soaked in a hot spring. Coming once in a while feels so wonderful."
Shen Ying smiled. "If you came often, it would feel wonderful every time."
Liu Qingyan was kind-hearted. Seeing sick people made her heart ache, and she spent
