The third weekly meeting, and things had changed again!
Hu Xiaotian had probably taken a page from Li Zhengye's approach. He had creatively used four Artificial Brains, inserting one electronic component into each and connecting them together. He had successfully created a crude Brain Tissue Calculator that could perform addition and subtraction within ten!
Li Zhengye's Artificial Brain had become denser, with only a few gaps remaining. It had gone from four separate clumps of Brain Tissue to being essentially fused into one.
Huang Qiqin still hadn't solved the problem of the Ear Brain dying. Every Ear Brain she cultured failed to survive ten days, but she had made an innovation as well. She had produced two ears at once and attached them to the Brain Tissue. When music played, the sound waves received by the two ears began to correct and merge with each other, converging into one at a certain point in the brain.
The Artificial Brain Song He had cultured still had two Optic Vesicles. It seemed capable of sensing some outside light. When illuminated with a phone's flashlight, the entire brain became more active, though the effect was slight.
Thus, the rankings for the third week became: Hu Xiaotian first, Huang Qiqin second, Li Zhengye third, and Song He fourth.
Xiang Xiaotong picked up a marker and updated the scores on the whiteboard:
Huang Qiqin: 5 points
Li Zhengye: 5 points
Hu Xiaotian: 5 points
Song He: -15 points
After updating the scores, Xiang Xiaotong spoke with a serious expression:
"We're into the third week now. Everyone has been working very hard, and you've all produced results of your own!"
"Next week marks one month since we began the Artificial Brain project, so we'll be changing the reward slightly. The first-place reward will be increased to
