The large screen displayed the caption: Quarterly Deans' Meeting.
The president had not arrived yet, and the seat of honor stood empty. The deans of the various schools had arrived early and were seated on either side, exchanging pleasantries.
Xiang Wenwei sat to the left of the seat of honor and suspiciously glanced across the room. The seat opposite belonged to the Brain Institute. All the other deans had arrived, but the Brain Institute's seat alone remained empty.
What was Xiang Xiaotong up to? Why wasn't she here early for such an important meeting?
"Dean Xiang, the Biological Engineering School has won the Advanced Academy award. How do you feel about that?" someone suddenly asked.
Xiang Wenwei froze, then turned and laughed. "That's still up in the air!"
The deans of the various schools all turned to look, revealing smiles one after another.
"Dean Xiang, you're being too modest. This meeting is specifically to select the Advanced Academy, and they've even arranged your seat beside the president. You're sure to win!" someone else said.
Xiang Wenwei waved his hand and lifted his chin toward the opposite side. "The Brain Institute's seat is beside the president too. Only one school of the same type can win the award, and it'll probably be the Brain Institute again this year."
"Dean Xiang, you're too lacking in confidence. The Biological Engineering School participated in several Lunar City Project programs this semester. In terms of qualifications, it's fully eligible for the award! In this day and age, what could be more important than the Lunar City Project?"
