With a muffled groan, Hachiman looked up, covering his mouth.
"Eh, are you okay?" Yukino looked at Hachiman in front of her with panic, as his face had turned red from holding his breath due to the sudden shortness of breath.
Hachiman ignored Yukino's question and directly used both hands to hold Yukino's head and kissed her again.
Caught off guard, Yukino was not prepared to defend the inside of her mouth this time, and Hachiman easily broke through.
Hachiman's tongue stimulated the front of Yukino's palate, gently scraping it. Yukino pushed forward with her own tongue, trying to push Hachiman's tongue away.
Unexpectedly, Hachiman seized the opportunity, entangled Yukino's tongue, and gently sucked. A wet squelching sound came from where their lips met.
As Hachiman took Yukino's saliva, a trickle of blood flowed from the wound on his tongue, filling their mouths with a hint of blood.
It wasn't until both of them were on the verge of suffocating that they finally separated. With a pop, a faint pink string stretched between Hachiman and Yukino's lips.
Under the shocked gaze of the bored waiter standing nearby, Yukino gently spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva.
The waiter's eyes revealed, 'Did they really kiss until they bled? Can you two stop treating me, a single dog, like this?'
Yukino panted heavily beside him, patting her small chest with her hand to calm her breathing.
Once her breathing stabilized, she looked at Hachiman with concern, "Your tongue... is it okay? I really didn't mean to. This is my first time, I was a bit nervous."
"It's fine, this small wound will heal in a few hours, and it doesn't hurt now."
Hachiman waved his hand, comforting the self-blaming Yukino.
"Can we go now?" Hachiman stood up and looked at Yukino, who was still sitting there.
Yukino wiped the sweat from her forehead, stood up, walked to Hachiman's side, and took his arm.
"Where are we going now?" Yukino tilted her head and asked.
"Didn't you ask me out? I thought you had plans."
Hachiman shrugged, indicating he had no plans and wasn't familiar with the area, so she should make the arrangements.
"Hmm, let me think."
Yukino tapped her lips with her finger.
Hachiman reached out and smoothed the stray hairs around Yukino's ear.
"Let's go, I'll take you to buy some clothes first. You look awful in what you're wearing."
Yukino looked at the shirt Hachiman was wearing, which had "I? Chiba" printed on it, with disdain and pulled him along without further explanation.
"Also, what about the glasses I gave you? Why aren't you wearing them?" Yukino glared at Hachiman with her beautiful dark blue eyes and questioned him.
"They're uncomfortable, I'm not used to wearing them, so I took them off. Besides, I'm not near-sighted, why would I wear glasses?" Hachiman guiltily touched his nose and protested in a low voice.
Yukino sighed upon hearing this, "Those glasses have no prescription. They were just to hide your excessive dead fish eyes. You're not bad-looking, but those eyes ruin your whole face."
Hachiman's eye twitched, but he didn't retort.
Yukino pulled Hachiman along the street, her eyes constantly scanning the men's clothing stores nearby.
After a morning of picking and choosing, Yukino, with a look of satisfaction, walked ahead, "Hurry up~ Let's find a place to eat. I'm exhausted after walking all morning."
Yukino turned around and urged Hachiman, who was behind her.
Hachiman walked behind her, carrying a pile of shopping bags, looking exhausted. His already listless eyes conveyed a sense of utter despair.
Everyone should have experienced this: women, who are generally less physically capable, seem to gain an "infinite stamina" buff when shopping.
While their male companions are aching and numb, unable to even feel their legs, they still stride in high heels, rushing back and forth between makeup counters, lingerie stores, clothing boutiques, shoe shops, and jewelry stores.
And they make their male companions try on countless items, only to be dissatisfied with everything, subjecting the men to an extremely painful experience over several hours.
Hachiman was in this exact situation. Not only did he have to be a model, constantly putting on and taking off clothes.
He also had to be a gentleman and carry all the shopping bags.
As a result, Yukino was full of energy, while Hachiman was staggering like a zombie. Combined with his usual dead fish eyes, he wouldn't even need makeup to film a Resident Evil movie in Hollywood.
Hachiman was walking when he bumped into Yukino, who had suddenly stopped. Not understanding why she stopped, Hachiman followed her gaze.
He saw a claw machine filled with Mr. Pan dolls. "Do you want to play?" Hachiman asked Yukino in a low voice.
"Eh... I'm not very good at this," Yukino said sheepishly, retracting her gaze.
"It's okay, it's still a good experience to try it out."
Hachiman looked down at Yukino and said gently.
Yukino then took some coins from her wallet and put them into the claw machine. She gripped the joystick and operated it carefully. Once she had it aligned, she pressed the confirmation button.
As the claw slowly descended, it grabbed a corner of a Mr. Pan doll. Yukino's expression immediately turned delighted, and she looked at the rising Mr. Pan with great anticipation.
However, these claw machines are designed to make money for the businesses, so the grip was intentionally loosened.
As Mr. Pan rose halfway, it suddenly fell back into the pile of dolls with a clatter. Yukino, not believing it, inserted over a dozen coins, but every attempt ended in failure.
Yukino then turned to Hachiman with a pitiful look and said, "Hachiman-kun QAQ, help me, I want that Mr. Pan."
Without a word, Hachiman walked over, inserted a coin into the slot, pressed the button at the right moment, and the Mr. Pan doll obediently rose with the claw, finally landing in the collection area.
Hachiman squatted down, took out the doll, and placed it in Yukino's arms.
But unexpectedly, after Yukino took the doll, she stood on tiptoe and lightly pecked Hachiman's cheek like a dragonfly touching water.
Seeing Hachiman stunned, Yukino smiled, took his hand, and led him towards the restaurant next to them.
Chapter 11: Date (Part 2)
Hachiman watched Yukino, who was holding a knife and fork and eating her steak one small bite at a time, her gaze fixed on her without any attempt to hide it.
"What? Why are you staring at me instead of eating?" Yukino, still chewing, noticed Hachiman's gaze and asked with her mouth full.
"It's nothing."
Hachiman reached out and wiped the gravy from the corner of Yukino's mouth with his finger. He scanned the table, but finding no napkins, he simply licked his finger clean.
"Komachi just texted me, saying she bought the movie tickets. It's the two-something showing."
Hachiman replied to Komachi, then said to Yukino.
"Mhm, so that means we still have time to shop around?" Yukino tapped her cheek with her finger and blinked her beautiful eyes.
"Huh!? Shop more? Can't we just find a place to sit honestly until the movie starts?" Hachiman's face turned pale upon hearing Yukino's plan to shop for another hour.
"Hachiman-kun, what does that expression mean? Do you find shopping with me troublesome?" Yukino puffed out her cheeks like a hamster and awkwardly turned her face away, not wanting Hachiman to see her.
"No, it's not that." Faced with this childlike Yukino, Hachiman had no resistance and promptly surrendered with a raised hand.
"Don't worry, you just need to sit there and give me your opinion later. I plan to buy something for myself."
"Mhm, and I'll get something for Yui too."
Mentioning Yui seemed to suddenly remind Yukino of something.
"By the way, how are we supposed to interact with Yui now?"
