Wang Beichen is a descendant of a Five Mountains Sect elder. His Earth Vein aptitude was discovered when he was young, after which his elders heavily nurtured him. His upbringing and talent made him lawless within the sect, while his family influence later secured him access to the Quenching Body Pool despite failing to place in the Disciple Competition’s top ten. 28

After provoking Murong Xue shortly after her arrival at the sect, Wang Beichen was thoroughly beaten by her. Rather than holding a grudge, he became attached to her and insisted on recognizing her as his “big sister.” Her authority remains one of the few things that can immediately restrain him. 28 44

Murong Xue identifies Wang Beichen as an Earth Vein disciple at Body Tempering Muscle Perfection, making him one of Zeng Fan’s most dangerous potential opponents. 23

Wang Beichen faces Zeng Fan in the competition’s top-ten match. He dominates much of the battle with speed and the Bone Dislocation Hand, breaking Zeng Fan’s arms, but underestimates Zeng Fan’s refusal to yield. Zeng Fan ultimately knocks him unconscious with a headbutt and advances to the top ten. 26

After recovering, Wang Beichen expresses that Zeng Fan is “quite to his taste.” He later apologizes for the severity of their fight, revealing that he had intended to hold back at Murong Xue’s instruction but did not expect Zeng Fan’s desperate counterattack. 27 28

Quenching Body Pool and Marketplace

Although he does not qualify through the competition, Wang Beichen enters the Quenching Body Pool through his family’s influence. Afterward, he and Murong Xue wait for Zeng Fan to emerge, and the three plan an outing below the sect. 28 29
