After breaking the ritual's process down into four stages, Hyuga Kagami frowned slightly.
Hiruko had only completed the first stage, while Danzo had fallen at the second. In other words, let alone completing it, no one in the Ninja World had ever even attempted to enter the third stage, much less the fourth stage beyond it.
Moreover, according to the basic principles of increasing power levels, the difficulty of the first stage, fusing Kekkei Genkai, and the second stage, improving chakra quality, simply could not be compared to the third stage, condensing a Truth-Seeking Orb, or the fourth stage, completely fusing chakra of all seven attributes: yin, yang, and the five elements.
That was because the difficulty of each stage increased exponentially. The farther one went, the harder it became!
With Hiruko and Danzo as guinea pigs, Hyuga Kagami had mapped out the first and second stages. All his current preparations were only sufficient for those two stages.
But the truly crucial third stage, and even the fourth stage, remained a complete unknown to him. He had no way of judging whether his preparations could handle the third and fourth stages.
After thinking it over, there were only two ways to solve this problem.
Either he cultivated another guinea pig as before, or he tried it himself.
Cultivating another guinea pig was unrealistic, both in terms of time and efficiency. After all, there was no longer anyone in the Ninja World like Danzo—someone bold enough to act on his ambitions, yet overestimating himself and wealthy enough to burn through resources.
Besides, an ordinary guinea pig would have difficulty even completing the first and second stages, much less reaching the third stage and letting Hyuga Kagami see what lay ahead.
So Hyuga Kagami really had only one choice left: try it
