Shinichi walked slowly through the dark passage, a puzzled look on his face. He did not understand why Hyuga Kagami had summoned him here in the middle of the night.
A moment later, after passing through the winding corridor, Shinichi finally arrived in the brightly lit hall. Before him stood Hyuga Kagami, bent over a desk studying something, as well as a freezing chamber placed in the center of the hall.
Shinichi's gaze immediately sharpened.
He was very familiar with that freezing chamber, because it contained nothing else but the body of his girlfriend, Uchiha Yui, whom he had been desperately trying to resurrect.
Hyuga Kagami looked up and glanced at the slightly dazed Shinichi. "You're here."
Shinichi looked thoroughly confused. "Boss, what is this...?"
Hyuga Kagami slowly closed the Scroll of the "Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu," rose to his feet, and walked over to the freezing chamber. "Do you remember our original deal?"
Shinichi nodded. "Yes. I serve you for fifteen years, and you help me resurrect Yui."
Hyuga Kagami sighed. "By my calculations, there isn't much left of those fifteen years."
When Shinichi had defected, Naruto and Sasuke had only been two- or three-year-old children. In the blink of an eye, Naruto and Sasuke were now thirteen or fourteen, and more than a decade had passed.
Shinichi also walked over to the freezing chamber. Looking at his girlfriend beneath its glass cover, he said, "Time really flies."
By now, he no longer obsessed over the fifteen-year deadline. Even if the time limit passed, he would not press Hyuga Kagami, because he believed Hyuga Kagami would never forget the promise he had made to him.
