After arriving at the Hokage Building, Hyuga Kagami discovered that the place was already packed with shinobi. A rough count put them at nearly a hundred, all Chunin and Jonin. There was not a single Genin among them.
The Third Hokage had suddenly assembled so many elite shinobi. There was no doubting the severity of the situation.
Hyuga Kagami silently made his way toward Team 11 in the corner.
Guy greeted him boisterously. "Why are you so late? We've been waiting for you forever."
Hyuga Kagami did not explain that he had come from the Forest of Death. Instead, he asked, "What exactly is this emergency summons about?"
Everyone in Team 11 shook their heads.
Clearly, no one knew the reason for the emergency summons, including their captain, Kakashi.
Shisui guessed, "Maybe it has something to do with Iwagakure."
Kakashi nodded in agreement.
Team 11's battle against the Iwagakure Decapitation Unit in the Land of Bears had undoubtedly given Iwagakure the perfect excuse to make trouble. Everyone had already mentally prepared themselves for it over the past few days.
Because of the gag order, they did not continue discussing the matter and instead chatted about other things.
Before long, the Third Hokage appeared, along with the two members of the advisory council, Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu; the three clan heads of Ino-Shika-Cho; and Hizashi Hyuga of the Hyuga Clan.
The moment the Third Hokage appeared, the hall immediately fell silent.
The Third Hokage stepped forward and announced to the assembled shinobi, "Two hours ago, we received word from the border. Three days ago, Kumogakure launched a surprise attack on the border of our Land of Fire."
At this sudden news, the formerly quiet hall instantly erupted into noise.
Kumogakure's invasion made everyone present think of the Third Shinobi World
